I ordered my 24 lariat on December of last year for about ( don’t have the paperwork in front of me) 36,000. fast forward to today my truck is on its way to the dealership but my window sticker has increased to exactly 38,000. I was under the impression that once I placed my order I get locked in to my order price. Is this true?

I believe there was a mid-year price increase, but not 2 grand. Find your original DORA sheet.

did your price include destination/delivery? Do you have anything signed by the dealer when you ordered? I'm not sure but I don't think MY24 orders had any price protection unless it was a roll over MY23 to MY24 ???

It should have Price Protection, based on the original priced DORA; but only if your dealer honors it and gives you the money, instead of pocketing it.

Agree there are differences by dealership as with almost everything in the purchase process. I just received the price protection check from the dealer 3 months after purchase. Signed paperwork said 30-45 days. It took repeated emails and calls, but they finally sent it. I call it a win, but likely won't be a return customer.

My dealer just deducted it from the OTD selling price.

The dealer should honor it's quote. There was a mid year increase it was about 450$, but you are locked in at the old price.

Exact same thing happened to me.

If that's your window sticker, the increase appears to be due to the black appearance package and a few other add ons. It was $35,730 for a stock Lariat hybrid with delivery before special paint or add ons. I can't remember if the $415 December price increase was XL-only.

Note that the sticker is the MSRP of the vehicle at time of delivery, it will always reflect that price. It has nothing to do with any agreed-upon preorder.

Your dealer should honor your original pricing regardless.

Perfect! That was my question! Hopefully this dealer will stick to that

This same issue came up a while ago, the answer was that the price on the window sticker, was what the cost of the truck was on the day it was built. You will pay the price agreed to by your dealer at time ordered. If you refuse the truck, the dealer now can sell it using the new higher price. Nothing to worry about.
