Does anyone know if the Maverick has power to the 12 volt lighter socket while in Neutral tow mode? Have an RVIBrake3 that will need that while underway.

I added a socket wired directly to the positive post and AFTER the BMS sensor on the negative battery connector under the rear seat. Works fine and doesn't confuse the BMS (no deep sleep issues).

According to the dealership manager you scroll through the menu and you turn off the 30 minute accessory life, this will allow you to use the 12volt socket continuously on the Mav. This is part of the setup for flat towing.

Nothing like that on either my 2023 or 2024 Lariats. Maybe it is a hidden or secret option??? I'd love it if this was true.

When we were going over how to put the Mav into flat tow, I asked how do I keep the accessory on because I need the 12 volts for my Blue Ox brake. She went through ( now it's been about a month and a half seen I seen it ), I believe it was vehicle, hit menu and a checked item for accessory 30 minutes shows up, remove the check and the accessory stays on as long as needed. Now, I a question for you, if you couldn't keep the accessory on continuously what allows the steering to be able to move because the steering wheel will lock. That's how it works now in my Honda Fit. My Mav is scheduled to be built on Tuesday 7/9. Can't wait. Please get back to me.

There is no steering wheel lock on the Mavericks. Just my opinion, and many others have done the same, but just tap into a constant 12V source. No hassles. BradnChristine has it right! I would not trust the 12V accessory plug to stay "on" Anything like that that is controlled by a computer is a fail point. (and we do know about these Maverick computers, eh?). Simplicity works much better and will keep your mind at ease.

Didn't know that about the steering column lock, thanks I appreciate the info. When my Mav is delivered, I'll ask more about what the both of you are talking about. Maybe a picture would help me out.

I just went out and checked both our Mavericks. I will try to find what setting she most likely mistook for leaving the outlet on. It isn't there that I could find...on either truck.

The Mavericks, as well as my 2015 Jeep and 2013/2017 C-Max vehicles do NOT lock the steering columns any more. And it is VERY important that you turn your Maverick completely OFF when towing.
When you get your truck, get a Demco Baseplate installed. Not Roadmaster; Not Blue Ox. You can read why in the group, or I'm happy to answer your questions in PMs.

While the Maverick is a GREAT towed, it also needs a LOT of care to set up properly and to do it without issues. There have been lots of folks with various issues that are avoidable. I'v taken mine out on 2 trips, totaling about 5500 miles and zero issues. I use a cheater card every single time to make sure I set it up properly. Too much to go wrong if you don't do it EXACTLY correctly. I would not trust my memory.

Be extremely careful what you choose for a supplemental braking system. There are folks here using some of the newer ones,; I just use a simple and very old BrakeBuddy Classic.

Thanks Brad for checking. I just went through the entire owners manual and could not find the setting. I guess will have to connect directly to battery.

I think I found what the person at the dealership mistook for keeping the power on....
Ford Maverick 24 Maverick Hybrid Flat Towing 12 volt power 1720208655074-fz

This doesn't have anything to do with the accessory outlet.
While I was there, this picture is what you get at the beginning of Neutral Tow. You must hold the button until it tells you it is complete. Then follow what it tells to, and always remember to take it out of ACC when you are done!

Any chance you could share your cheat card with us?

Sure. I've posted it in a couple of places, and modified it a bit with input from my wife. Your braking system might be different.
Also, note that the 2023 and 2024 have different shift instructions. My 2023 is Drive, Reverse, then Neutral...as on the card. The 2024 says Drive then Neutral and does not mention a shift into Reverse.

Here is the 2023 instruction:

Ford Maverick 24 Maverick Hybrid Flat Towing 12 volt power 1720217750535-j3

And here is the 2024 instructions. Both are from the Ford manuals:

Ford Maverick 24 Maverick Hybrid Flat Towing 12 volt power 1720217887061-1j

Note the differences. May or may not be important, as I believe the vehicles are identical...but since mine is a 2023, I put it into Reverse as instructed.
