... and they don't sell where I live, CA. I have seen posts where people get the Granger warranty in a state where it is sold, maybe using a friend or relative's address, and change the address as if they relocated.

My understanding is the catch is not with Granger but with state insurance regulations. Maybe the OP from Granger can elaborate on the restriction?
Yes, it is a California state law that we cannot sell to a California address. We've had people use an out of state address without issue.

If you have any questions about any ESP that we sell, please let me know.

Currently, for Ford we are at $25 over dealer cost and Mopar at cost for the month of June.

Please let me know if I can help!

Thank you for the support and business, as always

I'm waiting for my '24 Lariat hybrid should be here in late August. Ive got a 10yr, 100k warranty on the power train from the dealership as part of the deal. Made the decision easier to buy from this long time dealership in my area.

I bought an 8 yr/150k Ford ESP on my 2015 Cmax. At 148k I took it in to have a through checkup done, came back with no problems found. At 151k had a whine start and Ford says I need a new transmission for $8500. This is on a vehicle with known transmission problems too. Too bad, so sad Charlie NOT COVERED. I paid $2800 for the ESP when I bought the Cmax. I have about 29k on my 22 Mav FE in less than 2 years and am torn whether to get an ESP or not.

I would say it is better to be safe than sorry. If you drive your Mav a lot, it would help having peace of mind with it. These days, everything has gone up, especially when it comes to vehicles and all of the electronics. It is just a hard decision because some may never have an issue, while others will. But the amount you would spent on the ESP would be cheaper than if something electronic or engine wise went wrong.

Is the warranty the official FORD warranty, or from a 3rd party?

If I buy an extended warranty with the first day rental coverage, does the rental coverage start immediately or only when I'm in the "extended" portion of my warranty?

Also, does a deductible apply to the rental coverage or is that only applicable to the warranty?

Ok, just spoke to sales person and it's a 3rd party called Capital, that will cover me after the original Ford warranties. I sign for it when the Mav shows up. Build date has been moved up to 7/9. Can't wait. I was traveling on I-81 yesterday on my bike and saw a Class A flat towing a Mav. Can't wait to flat tow mine.

Maybe "Capital Processing Systems"? It would be worth checking out any reviews on them. A lot of shops will not honor 3rd party extended warranties due to reimbursement hassles and excessive denial of claims. "CarShield" is one of the worst, they look for any minor reason to turn down claims and can take weeks to process, leaving vehicles unrepaired for extended periods.

Quite honestly, I would have bought the Mav with it's original warranties in place.
