I just got a new '24 Maverick Lariat Tremor - my first truck, and my first American vehicle! Had it a week, and I love it so far. One weird thing that happened today - In the FordPass app, it's giving me a Vehicle Health alert, saying that it's time to schedule my first oil change - but the truck doesn't even have 200 miles on it yet. Is this normal? Seems like it's really early to be giving me health alerts already 🤔

I imagine it is just trying to get you on board to take your vehicle in for service when the time comes. Service bays are profit centers, and even if there is free maintenance for some introductory period, they want you to get into the habit of going there, so when the time comes, you are conditioned to keep going in for service even when it costs actual money.

I bought used, but from a Ford dealer, and they would not let me leave until I scheduled my first free service with them. I have no plans on ever going back.

You might want to review that tire pressure though. :)

Picked up my hybrid in May and had the same experience. The message went away after a week or so if I remember correctly.

Ignore the oil message.

Do you feel every pebble you drive over? Lower that tire pressure 10 pounds my friend! It was most likely your dealership who messed that up, as the trucks usually have their tires overinflated for transport/shipping. The dealer is supposed to lower the pressure when they receive it. I am guessing they did not.

Exactly my experience too.
My truck has 100 miles on it and same oil change alert which I'm ignoring off course . Same tire pressure from dealer and lowered it down to 35 psi all around as soon I got home.

So just my 2 sense but I strongly suggest you have ALL the fluids changed out. There ate a number of threads as to why I suggest this so please do your investigation

Yes, new vehicles are shipped with excess tire pressure and the dealer is supposed to bleed them down to spec during the pre-delivery inspection. Mine was not done either...
On the TPMS topic, be aware that the system will need to have the wheels re-paired with the vehicle after a tire rotation for the locations to be accurate. This requires a $30 transmitter you can get at Amazon, and an arcane but simple procedure you can do yourself in less than 5 minutes.

Both our trucks were delivered with this excessive pressure for the rail car trip. Sloppy PDI. Lower it to 35 and have a nice ride.

It would be nice if Ford would include useful information on common items like this in the owner's manual. It contains a wealth of legal disclaimers but seems thin on actual relevant content.
