Does anyone know if there's a product that you can purchase that you can plug into a USB port and be able to pick up sirius radio. I know that I could plug my phone in with the app but that uses my data I just wonder if they make something that will pick up satellite radio and play it on your truc

Not without a subscription attached to it. If you have it on your phone, you probably have a subscription to another vehicle. You could transfer that to your Mav if it makes sense.

In the past it just required you to plug it into power and throw a magnetic antenna on the roof somewhere.

I have a sirius/xm subscription on my two vehicles. It includes sirius/xm on my phone as well. When I rent a car, I just connect my phone via bluetooth and listen all day long. I have unlimited data, so that's not an issue for me ;)

I have a SiriusXM Roady BT. You can use it bluetooth or use an FM Transmitter with it. I use an FM Transmitter that can receive the bluetooth signal from the Roady. That way i can still us my android auto(Waze) when I drive. I use the Roady instead of android auto for SiriusXM because it has 20 preset channels. Changing the channels on android auto is a pain in the ass. I also have the Motorola dongle to bluetooth my android auto.

I just plug my phone in and stream it with Android Auto, sounds 10 times better than any serious XM tuner I've ever had in all of my Fords some reason it sounds like crap and Fords.

Whereas my GM's it sounds crystal clear on the OEM Sirius XM tuner.

Mine sounds better with the Bluetooth fm transmitter. It sucked when it was connected directly through the usb

This is what I added to mine:

It works GREAT. Need to find a power source that shuts off as soon as you Maverick is shut off. I have mine connected using the FM Adaptor that he talks about. Professionally installed for Under $200. The radio itself was provided free of charge from Sirius XM. I had my Antenna mounted inside on the dash so that it would not get damaged when cleaning snow and ice off the truck - It works fine there.

First of all I too was amazed that mine did not come Sirius equipped since I've been a loyal XM then the SiriusXM customer for over 20 years. It's a bit spendy, but I would highly recommend Vaistech.com. They sell units specifically for aftermarket installs. I love mine although was a bid expensive to have installed. The folks at Vaistech are terrific as well.

That's the aftermarket setup I was trying to think of but could not remember the name.

I feel like I'm going back in time to my 1995 ranger AM FM radio no sirius radio. At least now I have a USB port where I downloaded all my CDs on a stick and I can listen to almost all the rock on a classic vinyl and some of Willie's Roadhouse country. I wish Ford had offered a radio upgrade option I would have paid for it.
