When my wife saw my new Mav she said 'that looks just like your old truck". I said, yea I know, but its new.(See my profile pic here. )
Just sold my Sport Trac, I can only hope the new Mav is as reliable as the ST.

Better handling, faster 0 to 60, similar if not more head and leg room on the Maverick. Increased ground clearance available on the Maverick. Also the entry and exit as well as load height is much better on the Maverick. Keep in mind technology has increased leaps and bounds since then. Also at that timeframe the sport trac was ahead of the times. What stopped it from popularity was most likely the poor fuel economy. At that time might as well get a full size truck similar mileage and if I remember correctly they were pretty close in price, and more room in the cab and bed.

Old Explorers were embarrassingly bad compared to contemporaries like the Highlander & Pilot. That body on frame just made it ride like a dump truck.
Thats just plain subjective. My sister had one for almost 10 years. I drove it many times sometimes long distances and it was perfectly comfortable. Plush even with its leather seats. They could handle the big bumps alot better than those Hondas and even my Tremor. Tire sidewall and suspension travel are the keys to a smooth ride in rough terrain. Also have you ever driven a dump truck with air ride seats? They arent so bad.

What kind of a knucklehead spends their time in Park City talking about Trucks. Please tell me the slopes weren't open yet.

I'm surprised you're not getting many more inquiries on that grille guard.
