I read alot about forscan, but I have not been able to determine if it is free for me to use on my I pad.
I am wanting to eliminate the stupid seat beat warning visual on instrument cluster and I am thinking I need to do the Halogen to LED conversion on forscan as I am planning to upgrade to LED for my blinkers front and back and my stop lights in back.

Thoughts..........wisdom........help.

Thanks,

Ron

There’s a free version to try out. The paid version is $9.99. Not sure if you can do everything with the free version, you can’t on the windows version.

UPDATE: App price includes licence. It’s a onetime fee

Worth the price of a couple of lattes šŸ˜‰

you can get a free every 2 months or for 12 bucks you can get a 1 year and support development.
From what I have read if your willing to wait the few hours you can get free ones over and over. I gave them the 12 bucks.

I'm with you, $12 is worth it to support further development. When I bought the '24 Tremor my VIN didn't come up in Forscan on the current version, would give me a error. I reached out to them and they sent me a beta version that had my VIN. Really great support for $12.

You most likely will have to redo your changes after Ford applies any updates to your truck.

Not to hijack your thread here, but what exactly do you need to be able to use FORscan and edit settings? I'd like to disable some of the annoying crap but up until now thought I needed some sort of expensive tool. Can I simply use my phone to modify these settings?

Being able to turn on Sport Mode and paddle shifters for the $12 yearly fee is extremely reasonable.

Trial licenses aren't able to do firmware updates, IIRC.

Edit: That is to say Trial license on Windows, versus paid on Windows. Missed the original discussion was on iOS app version.

The OS version will not perform coding changes. It only reads live data and DTC codes. You must have the windows version to complete coding changes! Forscan Software is $10. The cable I got was $25. Any laptop or tablet that runs windows will work for using it. I have a $50 laptop that will run forscan just fine
