Try using WD 40 as a solvent. [shake can before use] I use it to remove road tar and it has never affected my paint. I touch up with wax after.Any suggestions on removing the dealer decal without messing up the paint?
Thanks!

I also make it a point to respectfully request the dealer place no badges on my new vehicle when I prepare to take delivery of a new vehicle. I've seen some pretty atrocious badges, some even penetrating the sheet metal. When I buy a new vehicle I politely tell my salesman that I don’t want any dealer stickers on my vehicle. On the 22 Mav I bought before my current one, they had already put a sticker on the truck and it was already starting to peel. It was an easy call to tell them to remove it.
One time when I removed a sticker myself I used a real thin razor blade; it worked just fine.
He’s a cowboy in Texas. That must be the worst dealer decal I ever seen!
Every vehicle I own the decals come off. They not paying me to advertise. That must be the worst dealer decal I ever seen!
I totally agree. I tell the salesman that I am working with to remove any and all dealer type branding; including the license plate surround bracket. If they say well its already on the vehicle I state "Well if you want to leave it there I charge $200.00 for advertising" Then they say "Well how do I know you will leave it there once you leave the lot?" I say right back to them "If My word is NOT good enough for you; I can easily take my business else ware; I have to trust you; but you don't have to trust me?"Every vehicle I own the decals come off. They not paying me to advertise.
