A/C Interuption when starting after Remote Start w/Ford Pass

Now that we've seen a couple days over 110 I've been using remote start via Ford Pass to cool off before driving.

Usually it only takes a couple minutes to knock down the temp but when I put the key in and turn to run the A/C will cut off for a few seconds then come back on.

That is not a problem except ONCE I turned the key to run and the A/C did NOT cut off. Just kept on blowing. It great!!!

Anyone know the secret to getting that to happen every time?

I've searched and not come up with it. There was a suggestion on Reddit (turn key quickly to 2nd click) but it did not work.

I managed to avoid the interruption again today. Second time out of hundreds.

I did turn the key to the 2nd click a little quicker but I could not duplicate.

I wish I knew the secret but it was only 111 F.

Hit and miss for me as well. Only tip I’ve seen is to cycle the key as quick as possible.

That is all I could find also.

At this point I have a very low success rate.

Is the engine running when it doesn't stop blowing or is it just running off the battery until you turn the key?

If an ac compressor loses power for even a second, it has to hold before it would restart. High pressure, low pressure, etc. It doesn't know why it shutdown. Just that it did.

When it doesn't the jump must be instant.

Are you possibly accidentally touching the start contact in the key and not staying just on run? Even if it's not sending power to the starter?

I can't be positive but of all the times I've remote started it has been in both conditions. Usually the engine is not running.

The 2 times I was successful I don't know which mode it was in. I will pay attention now.

I used to go all the way to "III" (Start) but lately I try to just go quickly to "II" (Run) and release.

UPdate: It seems the trick is to turn the key very quickly all the way to Start and release. Out of the last dozen or so attempts it only had a momentary A/C interruption once. I'm lovin' this remote start.
