we have a homemade cleaner the wife makes that does great on glass, and really everything else. Empty 2 liter bottle: bottle of isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher), 2 tbsp prell shampoo, fill up the rest of the way with distilled water and shake it up, then we pour it in a spray bottle

Stoner's Invisible Glass...Make sure the windows are cool to the touch and you're doing this in the shade....Spray the Stoner's Invisible Glass and wipe clean with a microfiber towel-if the towel gets damp, switch to a dry one...

Exterior side do the window/windshield due the same but use a .0000 grade steel wool to wipe the Invisible Glass and then go over with the microfiber towel(s)

I don't clean them. After a while, I have factory grade window tint and the cops can't make me remove what isn't there.

I wipe glass with a paper towel saturated in isopropyl alcohol. Let it evaporate (2 minutes) then clean with invisible glass and microfibre.

Over the years I have tried every window cleaning product out there in a effort to get the oily film off of the inside of my vehicles windows and the road oil and grime off of the outside. I have tried commercial products as well as multiple home remedies. Nothing has worked. Until now. After spending a few hours unsuccessfully trying to clean my Mavericks windows I finally looked at all of the products in my garage and saw this. I usually use it to get scale out of sinks and toilets, never for cleaning glass. But, what the hell, I gave it a try. The results were almost a miracle. I used rubber gloves and put the product, sparingly, on a paper towel so I wouldn't get any drips. A little bit goes a long way. Once I applied it, with some vigorous rubbing, and several dry paper towels polishing it, the windows came out crystal clear. So, clear it looks like they aren't there. I did get some small smears onto the plastics inside the cab but they wiped right up and did not seem to have any affect (effect?). Question is, will long term use of this product have any potential issues?

My 24 gets a terrible spotted haze with the morning dew. Once the windshield quits fogging it clears and is unseeen. Next morning same thing. The dealer had applied some type of paint protector, likely bs but I didn’t pay any extra for so called dealer prep. I suspect it is a residue of that. Waiting to see if it goes away by itself as I haven’t gotten it off yet.

It contains 20% hydrochloric acid, but it also has an acid inhibitor added, so maybe it won't cause pitting in the glass. I really didn't pay that close attention in chemistry. It has chlorine in it, too. Probably wouldn't be too good for the rubber and it could potentially cause damage if it gets on the dash. Personally, I'd keep looking.
Thank you, one more thing I learned in public school I can use: any of the fluor acids would be a concern.

They still make Prell? It used to come in a toothpaste type container with almost no water, all shampoo.

This might just be the perspective of a 1970's kid, but I remember Prell as being an industrial-degreaser level of shampoo. Like, you could wash your hair with it and also strip paint. Hell, it might work for de-chroming those taillights. :D

I have been using a small amount of the ceramic spray that I use on my paint on the windows also (works great and repels fluids).

The only thing I have used on my windows inside and out is a microfiber towel. I go through the car wash 2-3 times a week (monthly subscription). As soon as I come out of the car wash I use a microfiber towel to wipe the outside glass and then use the same now dampened towel to wipe the insides. My windows are normally crystal clear since the day I brought my Maverick home. I do the same thing with my wife's Ecosport and daughters Escape and their glass is clear most of the time. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my windows because I drive into the sun almost every day.
