I just removed all the LASFIT bulbs from the rear lights of my 2023 XLT Hybrid, including the turn signals and reverse lights. I installed them in July after picking up my vehicle. Initially, I loved the LASFITS, but I started experiencing hyper flashing if the blinker stayed on too long. I contacted LASFIT, and they sent me a new pair of front switchbacks as a replacement, but the hyper flashing issue persisted. Later, I discovered that my right rear taillight was not coming on, although the brake and signal lights worked. Switching the light from Auto to Off turned on the running lights, but one of the bulbs barely lit up, even though it had been working earlier. I tested it multiple times, but the LEDs barely lit up each time.

While my reverse lights were still functioning, I decided to remove them as well and revert to the factory incandescent bulbs. LASFIT is sending me new bulbs for the rear lights as well, but they are back ordered until April or later. At this point, it doesn't make sense to keep using them if they are prone to premature failure. Additionally, I still have the taillight recall that needs to be addressed, and it's likely that they will stop working due to the recall update. Even then, I still have one bulb that barely lights up.

Although I like the brightness of the LASFIT bulbs, they seem to be unreliable. LEDs should not fail prematurely within a few months, especially considering their price. While they are warrantied, replacing the taillight bulb each time it fails risks damaging the housing or wires and connectors. It's not worth the risk in my opinion. Yes, I know there are other brands, but honestly, I have seen reports of the same problems, so I don't think spending more on a different brand is the solution.

I spent over an hour removing and replacing the bulbs with incandescent and reinstalling the housing. I'm still using the Switchbacks for the front lights because I like them and they are easy to replace. However, for the rear lights, I prefer the reliability of incandescent bulbs for now. Maybe when I receive the updated replacements from LASFIT, I will reconsider, but for now, incandescent seem to be the more reliable option.

I've had Lasfits on my exterior lights for about two weeks and hope they continue to shine, shine, shine! The front switchbacks are awesome and I love the cargo and reverse lights too. One taillight stopped working so I popped it out, spread the contacts a bit away from the lamp body, and popped it back in...so far, so good.

Quality control on LEDs in general seems to be poor, and the cheaper the bulb, the worse it is. LED holiday lights that fail after a few days are common, and since Lasfit products aren't cheap by any means we should expect higher quality components with far fewer failures.

I upgraded the crap headlights in my 2010 Raptor with after market 100W HID with the idea of replacing the other stock bulbs with LED as they failed. When I traded it on my Tremor all the stock bulbs were still in there so I saved a couple hundred $ and the hassle.

I've had mine for about 8 months with no issues, but I also did NOT pay full price for them. I got everything for less than $50 off the marketplace here. So if they fail, I'm not out much. But I agree... counterintuitive of what the purpose of LED's should be doing - and that is longer life. I don't need super brightness causing just as much heat for LED's to fail earlier... just give me reliability and less heat. Too many times on older vehicles I've seen the heat from halogen bulbs melt the plastics away. But I'd rather replace a housing and a cheap bulb than to spend tons of money on LED's that don't actually last any longer or produce less heat.

I had an F-150 for 22 years. Some of the incandescents were still OEM and worked just fine. The OEM halogen headlights were still working when I replaced them. The reason for replacement was, the headlight lenses were yellow & fogged over from UV damage (truck sat outside for about 20 years). I bought new headlight assemblies and the total cost for two headlight assemblies was $50, and included new halogen bulbs.

I had a Subaru and the old license plate light bulb burned out. I replaced the bulb with a Sylvania LED from NAPA. It lasted less than a year and burned out. I'll keep the incandescents on the Maverick until they fail.

Anyone try to find the stock replacement bulbs for the tailights of our Mavericks? I did, just for fun. Guess what? Only Ford seems to stock them at the moment. They aren't the standard 1156 or 1157 or whatever we have been used to buying. So if you switch out to LED's KEEP your stock bulbs.

My Lasfit bulbs for my 24 Lariat have worked perfectly since installing them about 4 months ago.
My dash will give the hyperflash sound and speed but the lights operate normally. I disabled the bulb outage with Forscan and now I don't get the speeded up indication until I did the recall update. Time to disable the bulb outage again.

Check for errors after disabling outage. I had to remove my updated Lasfit LEDs and reinstalled factory halogen bulbs.

I have been holding out on the recalls as I do have the (Lariat) Lasfit reverse, 3rd brake and cargo lights - But it sounds like most of the hyper flash problems are just with the turn signals ?

Don't know what you mean by "check for errors"

So far the LasFit Reverse LED's are insane bright and make the backup camera usable at night. Worth its wait in gold for me. Should last a long time as they do not get used all that much. Time will tell.

The recall does not affect the reverse lights. As far as I know, the recall only affects the directional signal bulbs not reverse, cargo, third brake and front side marker.

Does anyone else make a backup bulb for the Maverick as bright as the LasFit?

@Diode Dynamics does, they're a forum sponsor. However, the LEDs will require external resistors.
