We just traded our 2020 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk on a 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid to use as our motorhome "toad." Big change, but we just switch from a 39' diesel pusher to a Class B+ on a Ford chassis with V6 EcoBoost, so had to lighten the toad a bunch, and since my wife is all done with "Jeeping," this little gas-sipped fits the bill.

First thing to order is a base-plate for towing ti Mav, and after reading info posted here, I'll get a Demco ordered right away. But the wife insists we add a tonneau cover, and I see the value of that. etralier.com lists a bunch of these, and all appear to be within my ability to install... without drilling. But which to choose?? What have others here chosen, and why? Also, what was your source? All suggestions welcome!

[A newbie here. I first posted this in what I discovered is a For Sale thread. Sorry.]

I spent a lot of time thinking about s tonneau cover. I wanted to be able to keep items secure, not take up bed space & look good. I went with the Truxedo Sentry Hard roll up tonneau cover. Had it over 1 1/2 years & no problems. Easy to install & fits perfectly. Even in high pressure car wash only a very tiny amount of water gets in. No problem at all.

I did what it looks like the OP is going to do - get a Ford dealer installed cover. I got the soft rollup and really like it. It's vinyl, and, unlike a lot of the more expensive third party models, overlaps the edges of the top of the bed, which makes it less susceptible to leaking. Mine has been through a few hard rains and hasn't leaked yet. I had a more expensive Truxedo X15 pro on my F150 and it was more aesthetically pleasing but it allow some water to get into the bed.

This is the hard tri fold cover I bought on e-bay a month or so ago:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266637720221

It's a great looking cover. Easy to install and use. Seems to be quite waterproof. At $345, the price was awesome.

The same cover, possibly under different names, is also available on Amazon at a slightly higher price.
That specific source is "out of stock" right now, but several others seem to have about the same thing. The price certainly is attractive. Hmmmmm

I have a friend in CA who was among the very early Maverick buyers (waiters), so his Ford-sourced tonneau may be an early version. He has some dissatisfaction with his tonneau's water-tightness and "floppiness" at the rear corners.

Based on a good friend's report, I may be reassessing my intentions to select a Ford-sourced tonneau.

Which? The Ford-sourced tonneau?

FYI: I noticed Ford uses the Truxedo at least for their soft version tonneau at $389.

I bought the the Ford soft Tri-fold with the Ford emblem imprinted on it, back in 22, it was the only cover available at the time except for the $1200 covers , It was on sale at 20% off and I have to say my FX4 lux will be 2 years old in a week and it has held up well no issues. I have seen the cover you listed on the road and like it. I will be replacing mine with it. For 400 bucks its a hard cover you cant go wrong. Covers are all about the bucks they go for 200 to 1500 or more, decide how much you want to spend and go from there. My cover is for sale in NY, LI, it was over $400, if anyone is interested its in perfect condition $200. My truck looks better than the day I picked it up, only 10k miles cover only been opened once. I just want to replace it with a hard cover.

I'm about to purchase a 24 Maverick XLT looking at the rough country hard low profile folding tonneau cover. Anyone have this hard to new cover installed? Are there any vendors on here that sell it?
