I have a '23 Hybrid Lariat and the 12v port used to shutoff when you open the car door. The battery was completely dead today and after charging it up and starting the car I noticed the little 12v port volt meter was still on after shutting the car off and opening / closing the door. I checked back after about 15 minutes and again after 30 minutes and it was still on.

I did recently make a number of changes using Forscan to enable the adaptive cruse control and fog lights. However I cant see that any of those changes would effect the timeout of that outlet. I can see a timeout listed in the BdyCm but only in terms of seconds. I'd like to return it so it goes off when exiting the vehicle like it use to.

Any ideas??

As far as I know that stays on for at least an hour in mine. I tried to figure out how long but have up. It never just turned off when I opened the door.

Exact same issue with my 23 Lariat with the front dash 12v outlet for my volt meter. Used to turn off when I opened the driver door and spontaneously, about 2 months ago, it stays on for well over an hour. After an hour+ I pulled the volt meter out because it was not turning off and I didn’t want to drain a fragile battery so I have no idea when the outlet powers down if ever. I’ve done nothing different to the truck. Why?????

you should be able to change the "powerpoint" timer or disable or enable it all together through BCM coding. Refer to the picture below and see if changing that to 1 or 10 seconds works.

I use a GoPro as a dash cam. Might have to hardwire it now. Anything plugged it would just never shut off.

I always preferred vehicles with constant 12V on the port. That's the way the lighter plugs were originally configured. Comes in handy for charging devices and running accessories.

Did either of you have Recalls done? and have had this problem since? .. This stuff is BCM related just like a lot of the recalls are...

Nope. No recalls done so far. I have two recalls related to tail lights and turn signal scheduled for the mobile fix later this month. BCM coding is way out of my comfort zone.

my cheap cam has a small internal battery that lasts about 30 min, long enough for most errands about town. start truck, cam starts, charges internal, works perfect for me, hope my 12V doesn't stay hot.

I've only had the recall done related to the turn signals and that was shortly after I got the truck last October. Nothing done since, although I have received a recall notice related to the BCM.

I did adjust the timeout down to 15 seconds and it's working. I was hoping to find the setting that has it going off after turning the truck off and opening the door, like the radio does; how it used to work.

Try setting it to 0-1-2 seconds. Originally the 2022 came with the power ports being on a 90 minute delay off OR WHEN 12V SOC DROPS TO 12.1 VOLTS, If I remember correctly. I believe that was also mentioned in manual. It is selectable in truck menu options.
