Just got my first 635 mile tank without trying or over filling. City and highway mixed. New fill up says 638 to empty. sitting at 14,000 miles now.

Climate control (especially heat) will kill your MPG if you let it.

One, in the winter if you can stand it, let the engine warm up while driving BEFORE you turn on the heat. If you turn on the heat immediately, it will run the engine non-stop to get up to at least 3 bars (in the lariat dash, just short of the normal operating temp) before the engine can stop running to keep producing heat through the heater core.

In summer, the AC just uses the battery but if it is low when you start up, it kicks the engine on to charge up to compensate for the draw. But it's not nearly the MPG loss you see in the cold winter. Luckily this little engine warms up fast out on the road (plus it has to run some to warm up the batteries anyways). So, just let the road do it for you.

Illinois roads are ideal for hybrid economy, I think. I've done a lot more hiway driving this tank (90,290,94,294) and still will be well over 600 miles this tank, without really trying.

I don't have the patience to try to hypermile. This is just normal mode driving. On the highway I get over 80 at times. But nothing crazy. Time is money.

No boost or corn. I like my MPG. My Mustang gets 6.8 in the city, and 14 highway. LOL.

Mine keeps going up too. Picked mine up end of November with running mileage tally of 30 MPG reset when dealer filled at 40 miles total prior to delivery at 48. Not reset since, now have about 2300 miles and running average shows 46.5 MPG. It will probably go up until A/C is always needed. Current estimate to empty indicates a total range of 689 miles. Still have 130 miles to 0 range, so it will most likely be higher than 700. Only about 5 of my current miles have been on interstate, then mostly rural/town mix. I live about 10 miles out of town. And yes I get on it once in a while, (Love to surprise those full size V8's) and don't hold up traffic.

Have you done any hand calculations?
Always right at 2 MPG less than indicated. This morning showed 50.9 over 93 miles, so right at 49mpg actual.
