Love my new maverick but my 8 inch display is dim. I went into the settings to the display and it doesn’t seem to brighten any more than the default setting. I can make it dimmer but I can’t seem to make it any brighter and yet there is room to brighten it. Any suggestions?

Yes I went into the settings on the dash and I went on the settings through the Ford app on the screen and I found where I can adjust the brightness but it doesn’t go beyond the default and I read one of the reviews where that seems to be a problem, but I was hoping maybe there was a fix

Not sure about the Maverick but my Honda Fit would not let me increase the brightness unless the headlights were on.

I guess Honda thought no one needed to adjust the brightness when the sun was out.

I watched a demo from inside the Maverick yesterday and I was shocked at how DIM the display was. I could hardly tell if it was functioning or not.

I just picked my Maverick up last Saturday. My display is dim too. I adjusted it with the dash brightness and the display option brightness setting. Maxed out, it is about as dim as the Bronco Sports screen set to the lowest setting.

I'm really hoping this is just a software issue, and not just a cheap screen with bad lighting. It's been cloudy since I've had my Mav and it is still is hard to see google maps because the screen is so dim.

I work at a Ford Dealership and checked another Maverick that just came in and it was exactly the same. I have an XLT, and the other Maverick that just came in is an XL.

So the only issue's i've had since picking up the mav are a broken sunglasses holder, dim screen, and factory spray in bedliner overspray all over the vehicle.

No no, not through the dashboard screen or app or anything like that. Near your headlight controls, there should be two buttons that brighten and dim the display. Kind of looks like this:

These control the brightness of the screen in addition to the settings that you went through. At least this is the case on my Mustang.

Yeah I adjusted both the screen settings and the one by the headlights and it’s the same. Dim

Seems to be a common complaint for the $10, 8 inch screen.

Pics of the Dim screen ? I have driven three Mavericks so far for and will admit the visual quality is pretty low the actual brightness didn't seem to be an issue.

Mine is bright enough as is, but when I go into settings it in the middle. When I try to make it brighter, the slider moves but it doesn’t get brighter once you pass the midpoint. It will get dimmer as you go left of the midpoint though…

Tint your windows so the inside of the truck will be darker. LoL

Yes that is my problem, in the settings it’s in the middle and it seems that I can make it dimmer but when I move the slider brighter the screen doesn’t change. It seems like it would be a software fix since the slider can go up

The screen on my XLT Maverick is a little dim my problem as far as lightning goes as I can't seem to get my speedometer or tachometer to go any dimmer since they're blue And are little too bright at night
