The other day me and the 'ol lady pull into Aldi and park back into a far-end row that was completely void of any other vehicle. Same with the row in front of us, very far away from the entrance... Here's comes a van full of kids with a donut on it and parks OVER THE LINE next to me. I immediately pulled out and went 4 spots over. I was going to say something but the Dad was immediately ushering his kids out of the back with his door swung wide open. I seriously almost screamed at the man. He had 2 empty rows and instead did what he did.

You can't fix stupid. BUT, you can numb it with a 2X4!

My wife has some bone spurs in her ankle that causes her some discomfort and definitely not glad about that but on the flip side, she was able to get a permanent handicap placard and when we're driving our 2012 Kia Sorento which still looks new, I may park in a regular parking spot but with our "little beast" I'll always park in handicap just for this reason....And, by the way, totally loving the pics of the flairs. Will definitely be looking to install those!

Had a neighbor repaint her 69 Mustang Mach 1 and on her first outing attended a car show. Unfortunately she stopped at a grocery afterwards. Despite carefully parking away from other cars, she returned to find a 4x4 blocking the driver door and discovered a sizable door ding. She drove away but remained close enough to observe the truck and called her boyfriend. He arrived , found the truck and broke every light and flattened the spare and two tires.

An extreme action but perhaps the 4x4 owner learned a lesson.

Handicap is the only ding free parking anywhere unless there is a cart incident...

I have a handicapped parking permit due to severe osteoarthritis and other health conditions. The handicapped spaces are usually larger and away from other vehicles. Only problem is Walmart, most of the time those spaces are full.

I do feel your frustration though. I have tried to park away from other vehicles in the past only to come back to a 4x4 parked next to me.

I just adjust aim and pressure for maximum splatter.

I got a significant door dent when my Mav was a week old in a Home Depot parking lot. It was clearly intentional. I was parked WAY out where nobody else was, and yes, the lot was level. Someone ran a shopping cart into my driver door on purpose and left it there. I hope God will return this favor to the perp if he ever saves his pennies and gets a new car. However, this may never happen, since behavior like this identifies jealous losers who cannot assume responsibility and may never amount to much. (Yes, I rave. Still )

I feel your frustration. I park far and I try to get an end spot. Nine times out of ten, a big 4x4 truck always parks next to me, completely blocking out any vision when I try to drive away. And, their darn truck is so big, I know they exited their Semi using the passenger door because I could barely get in my drivers door.

Modern trucks are far too damn big these days. Sightlines are highly compromised and people are nearly driving blind.

I say this as someone who spent my youth driving an F-600 around town for work. At least in the F-600 I could see everything, including what is in front of me!

Mabett was making fender flares for the Maverick available on Amazon, but I just did a search hoping to find you a link and didn't see them. Other vendors are online and looks like they would cover the scratch and prevent further dings.
