Getting a warranty battery replacement can be a nightmare from any retailer. If you know the battery is probably gonna suck, just upgrade and save yourself the hassle. I sold my month old OEM battery for $75 and bought a larger AGM for ~$200 after taxes and fees. It's got a 4 year full replacement warranty. It may or may not be a hassle when or if I need to use that warranty, but I feel a lot better about this battery vs. the OEM battery.
I already got my replacement battery, an ACDelco silver/cadmium Gold AGM battery from Amazon for $193.41 taxes and shipping included. Took the OE battery which would not hold more than 11.75 volts and dropped it off at the dealer. I chewed out the SM for telling me my battery tested good. I can't stand being lied to.

I'll be going to the dealer soon about this myself. Today I got the "deep sleep" notification on the Ford Pass app on my phone, just a few minutes after parking from a short drive! This is getting crazy. Resting voltage, after sitting a few hours was 12.16V yesterday, or day before - today was 12.22V. I put a charger on it, to see if the battery will still top up to a more normal 12.8V. I suspect this is shortening battery life, ruining 'em.

Am getting really tired of the deep sleep notifications, sure hope they come up with a fix soon.

Ford's fix is to drive your truck more. My fix was to buy a non-Ford AGM battery, reset the BMS and change the the charge level to 95% with ForScan.

Seems to be the case. I did charge my battery up overnight, and saw it peak at 12.95V. I'd left the front windows down a bit overnight, so started it, put windows up, let it run for a minute or two, and shut it down. I waited a few minutes, measured the battery voltage - 12.3V! It uses a lot of juice starting.

So, I charged it back up, it peaked at 12.95 volts again. After disconnecting, letting battery settle a few minutes, it measured 12.78V. Normal. I'm curious if it would load test OK.

The conclusion I draw from this, is that short trip city driving doesn't charge the battery properly.

Edit... as a few others have indicated. Been reading a few different related threads.
