I can reinforce Ozark's "meh" comment with my sad tale of woe re. silver vehicles. I had a beautiful 2004 Ford Thunderbird ("Retrobird"). It was silver. At a car show, I was parked between black and red Retrobirds. Looking down the row of about 10 retrobirds, my silver car wasn't even there! The icing on the cake: two gals were raving about the cars' lines. I asked them what they thought of the silver one. One asked, "There was a silver one there?" Broke my heart.

Silver cars are great for keeping the heat down, but they are NOT show cars!

I happened to be driving back from my mother-in-law's and there were only 3 vehicles on the main road going in the same direction and all within a few feet of one another; an F-150, a new Ranger, and my Maverick. One of those iconic moments in driving.

I've never understood this relatively modern trend a lot of consumers have of hating colors. They just want everything to be white, gray, black or silver and it's so depressing. It's not just cars either, my folks were selling their home, and one of the realtors they were talking to asked them to paint all of the walls neutral bland colors. They dropped her two hours later.

I'll say silver isn't bad, that's actually the color most clay models for car designs are wrapped in, because it does a very good job at showing the design and surfacing of the car. But black just hides everything, and constantly looks dirty, and white is boring as hell.

That's why I love area 51. It's such a unique, and attractive color that changes so much based on lighting. I tend to prefer it the most when it's under some overcast and it develops that rich grayish teal look. It's really distinct, but it's not flaming hot Cheeto red either were its so over the top that it's gonna get old after awhile. It's perfect.
