My Ecoboost has been solid so far, just phone connectivity issues for a while, I think I have it mostly fixed at this point. My Maverick does what I want it to. Moves kids around, hauls stuff once a month, and gets me decent gas mileage. I enjoy it.

I've had two Ecoboost Mavericks and both have been mechanically solid. The first one did have some recalls but that's to be expected with any manufacturer these days. None of it had to do with drive components, just cosmetics (with the exception of the airbag recall which was a safety issue.) The transmission shifts smoothly, has plenty of power, it's efficient (when it wants to be) and is a great, comfortable daily commuter. It's the best all-rounder for anyone who wants the versatility of a pickup bed with the ride comfort of a car or crossover. If you want better reliability, the Ecoboost is the safest choice. Not perfect but much better satisfaction ratings than the Hybrid.

I saved quite a bit of coin as Hybrid was the base engine on my order. Since then I've spent less on gas. Only trouble is getting to 70 mpg driving around greedy tolls and to the thrift store. I'm only getting 66 mpg on those trips.

Did I mention the Maverick saves cabbage?

MPG is definitely a factor when buying any car or truck. I really liked the horsepower the ecoboost puts down, and all the upgrades that can squeeze some extra power out. Throw in it’s a truck, and really cool looking…sign me up

You most definitely do not average 66mpg. You are taking 2-3 mile snap shots of your most advantageous trips.

I also can get 45mpg in my Tremor.....

Agreed, the MPG statements are overstated. I have a 2022 Hybrid and below is my average MPG for each fill up in my first 35,000 miles, my overall average is 31.2 MPG, I drive 90% highway. The best I have got on a tank was 39 MPG and the worst was 25 MPG (towing). Fuel price being a factor, but my cost is generally around $0.11/mile.

Without a doubt the fuel savings is real Hybrid vs. EB - no need for others to grossly exaggerate it!

Depending on gas prices it is generally $0.18-0.20/mile to rock the Tremor so you're seeing about a $0.07-0.09 savings per mile and that is not small potatoes.

Thanks for the comparison, I will say that is with me paying an average fuel price since Dec 2022 of $3.29/gallon, so local fuel prices can play into the cost as well.

So true. I have hit low 50s in my hybrid but the true average mpg is 39-40, calculated at pump. Adjusted AFE which now makes the cluster within 1 mpg. Factory cluster setting is off by 3-4 mpg. Worst mpg I've gotten is 36 on the highway but I haven't done any towing yet.
I drove a friend's Ecoboost and yes, it's a hoot but I bought my hybrid for the fuel economy and it works for me. He drove my hybrid and we both agreed both engines are great.
I did an oil change Monday and drove it in Sport mode for the first time to warm up the oil faster. I actually laughed out loud when it made the fake tranny shifts! It was noticeably peppier :)

Only have mine 7 months and 1967 miles and no problems. One recall on the taillights and battery replaced for being factory defective. Runs great and fun to drive.
