Ok everyone, for those who haven’t seen my (many) previous posts/comments, I have a 24 XLT FX4 that I have been trying to upfit with Lariat BAP headlights. The taillights from an XLT/Lariat BAP are plug and play, so that install was great!! The headlights, another matter. The lariats have a separate DRL wire coming from the BCM. On the XL/XLT models, that wire is present in the harness, but towards the headlight assembly, it is spliced into the low beam wire. I separated them, and used a pin kit to wire it to the proper place on the headlight connector. New lariat lights installed, with a LIN the low/high beam work as they should. However, it will not send power to the signature DRL on top.

Looking into forscan, many DRL settings. Been playing with all the options for quite a while to no avail. Nothing I do makes the signature DRL’s light up! There are a few people on this forum that have claimed they’ve been able to do it with modifying software in the body control module, while others have said that there was at one point a plug and play harness available. I’ve tried reaching out to these people, and either they don’t respond, probably because they think I’m some scammer, or they no longer own the vehicle and can’t look back to see what they did.

Does anyone have any advice on where to go from here???!!!

Curious,is there something wrong with the factory headlights? We love the lights on our 23 maverick. It's our first vehicle with the modern " bright " headlights. When we drive our 14 year old dodges it's so much harder to see!

Ordered from dealer. Got an XLT because I didn’t want the 360 or any of those other things. Just the lights haha.

I may be all wet, however I have a 24 XLT FX4 that, I to, would like to consider the BAP head And tail light assemblies. Trying to order the BAP isn‘t allowed with the FX4 package, which I am sure you are aware.

The approach I am considering is to purchase the XLT BAP headlight assemblies, and install Lasfit Switchback Directional Signal LED, which I have already done to my standard assemblies. They look and work great. During the day, the DTRLights are white in appearance and turn amber when signaling. At night, all lamps are white and are similar in appearance to the Lariat style, but no light in the upper part of the assembly As does the Lariat version, but you can’t tell because of the combined intensity of both LED lights.

Obviously this approach requires zero wiring or programming changes. I don’t know if you can return the Lariat BAP assemblies. Just a thought.

Yeah, they try to make it hard to add the things you want without upgrading to a new trim & package. The look of the BAP and some Lariat items are enticing but you pay quite a bit extra for it.

That is a last second thought, but I really want the lariat lights to work. Others have gotten them to work…

The factory headlights on your new maverick failed already?
No, I wanted BAP lariat lights. I’m trying to be “unique” but it’s starting to bite me haha

You can’t get any FX4 with BAP, XLT or Lariat
Yep, forgot that, probably one of the reasons why I got the BAP on the Lariat myself. That and trying to add options on an XLT to try and be equivalent to the Lariat was nearly just as expensive and you couldn't get adaptive cruise control.

I had ordered the Lariat, but here is my thinking process:

If you order a Lariat in BAP, Ecoboost, AWD, 4K-TOW, but you have no chance to get any Off-Road features, such as heavier duty drive system and suspension that the FX 4 offers, as well as the under motor protection plate. So I was going to opt for the Lariat FX-4, however both my wife and I don’t like the seating design and colors (personal preference).

So we had this dilemma. Then my Dealer got an XLT FX-4 in that the person refused to buy so he asked me to come and see it. It was just the way I wanted it, without the BAP lights. We love the XLT interior, but I wanted the interactive cruise (Copilot Assist) that only comes with the Lariat.

I saved about $4K by buying the XLT. I would have gotten a Lariat FX-4 if it wasn’t for the seating issue.

I decided to buy the XLT on the spot and let the Lariat order go. Ford said that the Lariat was going into production on November 30, 2023. It was 6 weeks ago that I bought the XLT as Ford kept delaying the Lariat build for their ridiculous reasons (it is about money, not the customer). The Lariat just arrived at the dealer Saturday

Any way, I am happy with my truck and will be very interested in what you decide to do. Good luck with your decisions.

Bad A$$ Person.........................(kidding). It is a version of our Maverick Trucks that are darkened in the headlight and tailight areas. I honestly don't remember the proper words.
