Hi guys,

Strange background story, a few weeks ago, I hit a huge owl on the interstate, directly on the drivers side headlight. It broke all the tabs and cracked the black plastic rear housing in two places. The light actually worked for a week or so and then it died. (moisture?). Anyway, I am trying to source a used light on Ebay since new ones are over $1000 from Ford. Trouble is, I can't find the exact part number that I have on mine, and the Ford parts website list a completely different number. Here is the breakdown:

My light: NZ6B-13E015-BE (LA)
Lakeland Ford: NZ6Z-13008-D
Ebay 1: NZ6B-13E015-AF (LA)
Ebay 2: NZ6B-13E015-AF (LA) listed as "No led bar on top of, base model"
Ebay 3: NZ6B-13E015-AD (LA) listed as "W/O DRL OEM"

update: Ebay 3 seller responded with "Does your truck have the LED version without the day time running light?" I don't have the truck with me, I thought all new vehicles had DRL's by law?

Are the last two digits the revision number? or a vendor number? Would these ebay ones work?

I've asked one of the ebay sellers if they knew if it came off a lariat, but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks all!!

Justin thanks for the info on the prefix. Can you confirm the last two characters are the rev number?

Understood on the ebay parts. I can literally buy 3 ebay lights and still be ahead. And the ebay lights are salvage so there really isn't any reason they shouldn't work except for the hours that are already on them.

I'll share what I have figured out for future searchers:

In this case, last two numbers, are actually for different trims. The -AF, -AS, etc, the -A indicates that the top lens is silver colored and does not have a DRL, and would be for those trim without a DRL.

-BE, -BD, etc, the -B indicates that the top lens is semi-transparent, and contains the DRL. Therefore, for my Lariat I need to find one with the -B suffix. The 2nd character may possibly be the revision level.

I have looked at pretty much every headlight on Ebay and my own headlight and have come to this conclusion.

Unless someone can tell me that their Lariat has a sliver colored lens on the top that a DRL still shines thru. Then I will be completely confused!!

UPDATE: This post confirms the above:
