Finally received my Maverick!

Order Date: 12/27/23
Received 3/14/24
Putnam Ford in San Mateo (honored MSRP and super happy with the whole buying process)
Added the extended warranty

Excited my Maverick finally arrived. I added a Raiders tow-hitch cover, a Bak Revolver Xs4, and some interior accessories. Soon to add carbon black tailgate letters. First impressions. Quieter and much smoother (shifting and acceleration) than I thought. I was expecting a higher pitch or drone from the engine. The shifting is smoother than expected. I guess I had lower expectations. I'm still "breaking" it in so haven't really floored it yet. There are some fit and finish issues, such as needing to almost slam my front door to close, the rear bench being semi difficult to lock out and needing to slam the back seat to have it lock in place. Overall super happy with the Maverick so far.

I do notice a bunch of clicking when the engine is off and Im sitting in the car. Has any others experienced this with the Ecoboot?

Congrats, looks amazing! I almost ordered the Cactus Gray but ended up ordering my Maverick in Atlas Blue to match my other 2 Fords. Did you notice the flaw on the rear of your Maverick? That logo has to go, :ROFLMAO:

Thank you! Nice sticker! Grew up an LA Raiders fan too, then moved to the Bay Area, the Raiders keep leaving me.

Congrats on the new truck.

Can you post some photos with your Xs4 bedcover?

I have the same truck and trying to decide on a bedcover.

Weird thing is my 2024, I have to sometimes close the front door again and I think maybe I didn't close it hard enough.

Very nice! I basically have the same truck, minus the FX4 package (and Raiders hitch cover). The clicking is normal; I'm sure it's electronic sensors and such. Could be because it's a loaded 2024 Lariat.

Thanks! Nice color choice too! That’s encouraging to know the clicking is “normal”.

Congratulations, and welcome to Maverick ownership!

Do others a favor and report your good experience with Putnum Ford using the Google form (here) so Sarah or I can update the MTC dealership tracking spreadsheet (see the List of honest dealerships sticky under the Ordering category for more details).

You might want to have the dealer take a look at the door. My XLT AWD EB doors are easy to close.

The rear bench seat needs a little force to lock into place. Yet, I do have Wet Okole seat covers on mine.

I am with you on the transmission 'feel.' My first Maverick was a 2022 XL Hybrid. I didn't care for the CVT or the 2WD rear suspension. I sold it with less than 1K miles and ordered a 2023 XLT AWD EB that I purchased more than a year ago.

The transmission is fantastic, the AWD suspension rides better, and I like the point where my Maverick is now.

I hope you enjoy your Maverick for many years to come!
