Secure pretty much locks you into a hard cover of some sort (tri-fold, roll-up, solid or cap).

I have a Truxedo Sentry CT hard roll-up for security, quality, and ease of roll-up when I need an open bed without sacrificing too much visibility or bed space. Either the Truxedo or the alternative BAK Revolver X4S are solid hard roll-up options and pretty similarly priced.

If you need more affordable, tri-fold is probably the way to go at the expense of some open storage and rear visibility when opened.

I ordered mine with the Ford hard roll up, and have been very happy with it. I love that I still have rearward viability when it is opened all the way, and feel good about the security that it offers. I don’t think it is completely water-tight, but it does a good job at it.

Would avoid the retractables in snow country. Too many seams to ice up.

I have a Gator SFX from RealTruck approx $250. Soft cover tri-fold - Good quality and very secure. It does ‘wave’ a bit while driving but I found that not to be an issue.

Installed my Bakflip MX4 last weekend and now 300 miles later can confirm 2.1 mpg increase. That works for me.

I don't have pictures yet, but but on the Gator FX3 from RealTruck about 3 weeks ago. We wanted a hard tri-fold and we are really happy with it so far. If interested message RealTruck on here and they will probably offer you a discount from the price shown on the web. They have for many of us. It only took about 3 days to get and about an hour to install. One tip if you get this one, put the weatherstripping that goes on the bed edge along the back window as far to the back edge as possible. Truxedo Sentry CT is supposed to be hail resilient. That was a big selling point for me. Most of the hard tri-folds are not, and the ones that are supposedly have a problem with water intrusion. The other hard rollup is the Bak X4S and it has all kinds of problems based on my research. I vote used Truxedo CT if affordability is a high priority. I'd challenge you to spot the difference between my nearly 2 year old one vs. Dasblack's new one, at least viewing from the top.
