Hi, I just joined this forum and I am looking for Maverick hybrid..
Currently, I am living in Houston Texas. I searched Truecar, Edmund, carfax, and carmax.
I think most of them were more overpriced than thought, even used cars expensive than new cars MSRP.

I have no experience purchasing a new car, even so those prices is too much for me.
I read about 2024 Maverick now charges hybrid +1500, so I wish to order 2023 Hybrid XL.
I do not much drive and do not many times have an offroad trip.
so not necessarily AWD. I am okay with FWD.

I added my email address couples of dealership website and I got many calls and emails..
and I found their inventory mavericks usually 28K~35K price range regardless their trim.
I had a test drive with a nearby Ford dealer, it was 2024 Maverick XL.
The Odometer was over 1K, I am not sure is this mileage can be considered as a 'new car'?
The dealer called 30k for the truck.

so here is my issue:

  • I do not know about ordering a new car with MSRP(google said $22595).
  • How I can find a reliable Ford dealer without playing a game.
Please give me any advice.
Thank you.

I heard some good things about the Ford Dealer in Spring TX, just north of Houston.

if a vehicle has never been titled, then it's new and it has the origination title.

some vehicles can be test driven a lot, or if used as a service loaner or driven by a dealership employee (typically management) then it could get a lot of miles before ever being sold.

regarding your search for vehicles in your price range-
you cannot order a 2023 of course. they stopped making them 6 months ago when they cut over to 2024 production. there were several price increases along the way so a 2022 costs less than a 2023 which costs less than a 2024, for most options. definitely including a hybrid XLT.

keep searching online. there are dealerships with hybrids in stock for sale at msrp. you'll probably have to fly to wherever it is and drive it home, but I suppose you could have it trucked instead if you're not in a hurry.

The used Maverick's appear to be as high as a new one on Carvana, Carmax, etc.

Lowest priced new Hybrid I saw was from Russell and Smith on reddit a week or so ago listed for MSRP $33,330.

2024 Maverick XLT hybrid Atlas blue
2024 Maverick Lariat Tremor Cactus grey
NO MARK UPS

Tomball Ford, McRee Ford in League City and Planet Ford Spring are ones I see mentioned, that'sbeen for a customer ordered Maverick. Always have to check with them to be sure about dealer markups above MSRP.

MacHaik I-10 is where I ordered and received Maverick at MSRP. Anything on the lot appeared to have dealer markups.

Lot of good posts but your Google search is incorrect unless it was an older model year. Also I added a link that you can build it will show base price options and it will add shipping and an additional 645 for a lease. The hybrid is optional with an additional $1500 if you build it. One of the reason I mentioned it is you posted you do not drive much. Is that's the case the option for hybrid may not be economical for you. Especially if even if you don't drive much it depends on how much city vs highway mileage you do drive.

Best of luck I hope your able to get what your looking for.

Perhaps you can get something else if you need to stay within a budget. I don't know your situation, but the prices aren't going to go down as time goes on. If you just need a reliable car, get a used car that gets good gas mileage. You did say you don't drive much, and for me having drove 7 years with a 2015 Prius, hybrids are built for driving. It's hard on the main high voltage battery as well as the 12volt battery when you don't drive that much. Get a used Corolla for 12k and call it a day. Just my two cents.

Carvana's prices HAVE TO BE HIGH! I sold my last two cars (both Hyundais) to them, in the last 4 years. The first one they gave me what I paid for it, the second one they gave me MORE than I paid for it, and they have already offered me MORE than I paid for my 2022 XL. (I have no intention of getting rid of my Maverick, but I was just curious as to what they would give me during this used car crunch.) My hat's off to Carvana, as long as I am selling and not buying.

2024 Hybrid MSRP is 25,315 base XL + tax, title, license , Doc fees and anything the dealer tries to sneak in (forgot the destination fee 1595.00)

I may use this maverick for a 20~30min commute every day, Does the hybrid still need more drive time?

How much could I expect with 2024 basic XL and without options..?
Would you give me some numbers I can expect to TOD price?

I know. I sold them my 23 Maverick 2.0L for $2700 more than I paid out the door so I could buy my 23 Maverick Hybrid when it came in 7 months later. I saw they listed it for $34,990 and sold when price dropped to $31,990 in just over a month.

respectfully, everything you have asked has already been answered. one reply even has a link to hybrid Mavericks sitting on the lot at Long-McArthur Ford.

the components of a sale price are dependent on the document fees which can vary by dealer and/or state of purchase, destination which is fixed at $1595, and msrp which is $25315 with no options. https://shop.ford.com/configure/mav...ig[|Ford|Maverick|2024|1|1.|...PNE...993.XL.]

I would suggest getting copilot360 but that's up to you. And... I'm out. Good luck on your new Maverick purchase. (y)

Oh.. I just made a similar build quote from the Ford website.. I wasn't sure about the quote I had, but you gave me a similar answer, so I have standard TOD now. Thank you.
I wonder May I add the trailer hitch later?
if I choose without trailer hitch option, then the maverick will be impossible to add an aftermarket trailer hitch? I am not sure what I just described
