Seriously, my investments are run mostly by a professional not me. People with your thought process are going to be dying off. US manufacturers have retreated from Europe, GM sells more cars in China ( and they're all in in EVs) than the US. I think the "big 3" should keep making gas cars and hybrids but if they listen to you they'll be out of business in 15 years.
Not without the fight of your life. The absolute fight of your life, bud.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't run anything. And do you seem to want to fight me or I'm fighting you or. Christ? I didn't know cholesterol inspired paranoia? Is this like your cold dead hands type stuff? Lol?

Good heavens, what’s wrong with all you “fighters”? This was a yes no question and not a debate about EVs. Go get a punching bag to get rid of your anger Or get on one of those angry social media platforms!

Yep but it’s always been about carbon output according to epa testing. Second that co2 would be cleaned up by those terrible thirsty plants we would have to grow to make it. When talking they I mean the government. If you are old enough to remember. They pushed e85 very hard for the same reasons they are pushing ev now. They will keep moving as they are aloud to make money and buy stock before the bills pass. That goes for almost all lawmakers.
I don't understand. Is Ford stock way up or what? Tesla stock is down who's making all of this money off of the stocks pushing EVs in the government. Is this like the shadow government or the lizard people or something ?
This might make me sound like some of the paranoid people out here, but e85 was pushed on the behest of the corn lobby.
I don't know. I guess I'm just not paranoid enough. I don't care what people buy but things are going to change whether the people like it or not. A lot of the older types who get really upset about this, and I'm in my 50s so I'm not young, Will be gone anyway. Their ancestors back in the late 60s where talking about "ain't no way I'm but me No emissions control car".... But times changed whether you like it or not

I realize I have posted out here too much, I did go to happy hour last night lol, but I don't have any anger. I do like to respond to anyone who quotes me or sends me a message. Maybe I like to get the last word lol. But I don't get the anger myself but some people are angry I guess. I don't know why the one guy brought up fighting or fight of my life or whatever. People should buy what they want.

Look back before any mandates. See if you can find a single investor or group that can match the return rate of top lawmakers. It doesn’t happen.
And they do it way before we know. Like buying Tesla stock before any subsidies went into effect. Say $12 a share even though it’s down now you still have made a fortune. They do this actors the board. Why did they all buy massive amounts of phizer before they passed COVID mandates.

No way man you are all good. I for one didn’t take it as anger. If we can’t have these debates or discussions we never have a chance to learn. I for one have no issues with anything you said.
I just disagree and we are allowed to do that. Like we both have stated these things can have a roll and work for some. They don’t work for someone like me and people who live in rural cold climate.
I just don’t like the fact the don’t stand on the merits of what evs are. They do a lot of things good but let not pretend like it’s for climate or savings. It just not. Drive it because you like a quite car, fast, easy to use, any of the things they are great for. No need to sell false narratives.

You would not have to twist my arm to buy a rivian truck for short camping trips. Or a Tesla for some speed. I love both those.
I just don’t like being told we have to. Especially not for the climate when we have better options and it’s a globe. Why strap America with the burden when the rest of the globe like china and India don’t care.

I don't know. I think both sides of the aisle always leave Congress rich if they're not already before they get there. I'm not saying none of them or not. Even most of them are uncorrupt. I'm just saying I don't think that's the purpose of these mandates. I think the fossil fuel industry has had a lot of power in congress and the government due to the fact that they dump a lot of money into elections.

To the admins, fuck it, just shut this thread down. I wanted to have a decent conversation, but it's just devolved into political BS.
Oh oh it’s time to shut it down because people don’t agree with you and it’s political now. 🙄

Yeah I'm not a super big Tesla fan and it's not because of Elon. It's more the build quality and the company. And if I lived in a really rural climate depending on what I did I wouldn't get one. A buddy of mine is retired and he chose an RV around. He has a one ton GMC diesel pickup. I would never recommend he get an EV. I think Teslas biggest contribution is that the vehicle can be fun and not just like a Nissan leaf. The only place I disagree a bit with you is I do think part of it is being done for the sake of the climate. And that is not to say there's no environmental issues with EV production. I argue with the EV fanatics on those sites occasionally who say their best for everything. Like I don't put on a lot of miles and It's environmentally more damaging to make an EV than a gas car and depending how your electricity is generated for the first X number of miles the EV would be worse for the environment. Like maybe the crossover point is 40,000 mi. If your electricity is generated from coal, if a lot of it is from your own rooftop solar it's probably a lot quicker. I do like the idea of being able to plug my car in and charge it from my roof.
So assuming I get a Maverick, my biggest debate is going to be hybrid versus EB. As with most things there's a trade-off. I want the gas mileage of the hybrid but I would like to be able to AWD and I really would like to have the independent suspension in the rear.....

He has over 100 messages and just joined Tuesday. Probably all the messages in two threads. Let’s see where is that ignore button again?

You seem a bit stalkery. I'm just responding to somebody who messages and responds to my message directly. I like getting the last word. But I'm probably not even getting an EV for my next car I'm likely to get a Maverick so probably not. Hell. I might not even get the hybrid. But aren't you the guy who was criticizing the other guy for wanting to shut the thread down because people disagree with him.......

I respect rural people, blue collar people, their jobs and everything they do to make my life possible. EVs just don't do WORK.

My collar isn't blue right now. It's chartreuse because I'm wearing a hoodie working in a sewer pump station fixing an alarm. I don't know if that's blue collar enough but to me sometimes when you say rural and blue collar it seems like code. Again, you seem a little hostile talking about fighting, but hey, whatever works for you. Again, as I said before they don't work in every situation. I know guys who are carpenters and plumbers who would love to have a fully EV truck because all the work they do is within largely a 50 mile radius. A work truck like a sprinter or the new EV amazon delivery vehicles. Instead of saying they don't work, you should say they don't work for you or every scenario.
Think about the post office or Amazon for UPS? They're great at logistics when the price of batteries get to a low enough level and they can buy just enough battery for their daily needs plus 20% and they no longer have to put gas in them and have them idling while doing deliveries , no more oil changes etc. for that kind of stuff they would work great. Or my wife driving 12 mi to work and back. If you're hauling cattle 800 miles to market, maybe not

Stalkery? What do you mean? You absolutely took over two threads dealing with this subject. How could you be not seen over and over again? On the other now locked thread you totally misrepresented something I had clearly said about tax rebates that I can no longer respond to because it’s locked.

Take a chill pill. The climate is NOT being destroyed. You won’t have to move to Mars. Yes I like EVs but they are NOT a life or death save the planet solution. Yes there are laws against driving 150 mph on city streets. That would clearly lead to many deaths. Mandating EVs on people with law is a whole other matter. BTW I never said rebates on EVs are unconstitutional. I did say mandating EV usage is and I stand by that.

And no I’m not angry at you. Have a great day 😊
