I just picked up my new 2024 XLT Ecoboost in Prescott Arizona and I am driving back to California and feel really good about the mileage I am getting. I drove 6 hours to Prescott and purchased the truck from Galpin Ford with no dealer markups. The dealers in California are still adding $10,000 markups which is so ridiculous. Thanks Elizabeth and Micheal for the easy purchase experience.

Not bad. It will drop a little as the computer settles in, but it also will become a bit more accurate too.

It usually will end up reading a little optimistically. I adjusted mine to read more accurately. See adjusting the AFE in the search bar.

Congratulations on your new Maverick. How about a picture of your new ride? Besides the obvious dash, or instrument cluster. Hope you enjoy it for many years and thank you for posting.

How would I know what is more accurate?

This is my third maverick. I went from silver in my profile picture to Atlas blue. I will post pictures once I drop this bad boy and go old school chrome on the rims. I just could not get behind the black rims, I tried.

I didnt know it was adjustable but mine always reads 1 to 2 mpg higher than the actual mileage. My overall mpg at 12k miles is showing 29.5 but actually closer to 28.

Sounds like you either like Maverick's or your using the markup by California dealerships to make money. Or the very least drive for free. Either way I hope your enjoying everything the Ford Maverick has to offer. Looking forward to the pictures of your new ride.

I made money on the first one, lost about the same on the second which put me even and now I have the truck I want to keep with the options I want.

Hey I wasn't trying to say it was bad. Just read like a great opportunity for someone thinking outside of the box, or differently. Kudos if you were able to pull it off and the dealerships that are price gouging, kinda deserves it. I hope this truck is exactly the way you want. Not for any other reason except life is to short as it is, not to enjoy it.

Congrats on the new Maverick. How do you get around having to pay sales tax twice since you purchased in AZ and CA always wants their tax $$$$ when you register the vehicle here? If there is a way around this I will be going on a road trip!

Our local NorCal dealers are still doing the "Additional Market Adjustment" BS so I am waiting to purchase a Maverick. We had an '17 Escape ecoboost and that was a full little SUV.

All good, I didn’t read it that way. I agree with your assessment, that and my wife is going to kill me if I do this again!

LOL, you have peaked my curiosity. What options did you get on this Maverick, that you posted that's exactly what you want. I would appreciate the options and why, in case you missed them, or liked them on the other trucks. I think the information maybe very useful to someone thinking of buying one. I know everyone is different and thier needs likes and wants can be conflicting. Just curious what did you buy this time, that's different along with color.

I was told that I need to bring the contract and a copy of the title to dmv and you would pay the difference in taxes only for California.
