I just tried Sport mode for the first time yesterday. I only have 165 miles on my new Lariat 2.0. Really fun to drive it that way but wondered what the gas mileage difference is both in city or highway. Not a big deal just curious to hear from long time owners.

I have a Roar Pedal installed in my Maverick. I usually drive between Eco and Sport+ with it on, so what I have to add will be exaggerated by the various levels of pedal sensitivity.

Nonetheless, I can easily get the same gas mileage either way if I'm careful. I can feel the difference in the modes at the take off for sure, but regardless of what mode I use with or WITHOUT my roast pedal (Yes, I've measured it the same just using the sport and eco buttons in my truck without the roar pedal), the key is driving like there's an egg under your gas pedal and trying not to break it. Otherwise, you'll see a 4 or 5 mpg difference for sure doing what you're doing!

You will lose a good 15% mileage running in sport mode all the time, the engine is really over revving all the time, try tow & haul mode, it's nearly as responsive & the rpms are halfway between eco & sport when at highway speed.
