My new Eco is somewhere between built and shipped. While waiting (and waiting), and looking at my window sticker, I noticed my 2024 with FX4, machined gray wheels (235 tires) and tow package shows mileage of 22/29/25 (cty, hwy, comb). An earlier sticker for a '23 FX4 (I had a chance to buy) shows 22/28/24 mileage. That truck, and others I saw, had a zero-cost 3.81 axle ratio, which I assumed came with one of the packages (off-road, tow, lux?).
Has something changed for 2024? Was the 3.81 axle in a 2023 package but not 2024? Any other mileage difference?
This really isn't that important, but I can't stand the wait!

3.81 is part of the 4k tow option. For 24 the tow option is required if you want the FX4 package. In previous years 4k tow was not a requirement to get the FX4.

Thanks, but if mine still has the 3.81, why the higher mileage?

This happened last year too with MY23 - Ford may put conservative estimates on the early stickers until the EPA testing concluded. Hybrids went from 40 to 42
