It’s worth it. Looks nice!!!
I second that. I have never considered a lighter tire. Even so much as to feel the unmounted tires for sidewall thickness and rigidity. " Heavy is good, if it does not shoot you can always hit them over the head with it" Boris the blade/bullet dodger.

Alright fellas after some looking. With the tires off it does not rub at full lock but is rubbing a bit 3/4 maybe. Slight rubbing in one spot. From liner drivers side. Nothing on passenger side I can see.
Heated up with heat gun pushed it flat let dry now it does not touch.
After some off roading loading everything. It appears that the tire may run the pinch weld back side a bit. I can’t hear it and the mud was not knocked off. But something looked to rub. We tested at tire shop and nothing. First full day didn’t hear or see any rubbing. Maybe it’s settled a bit after the few hundred miles I’ve put on. These definitely have some tread on them and a less aggressive tire would definitely not rub.
Let just say that if you had an hour or two to play with it you can make it clear everything with ease.
My next free weekend that’s nice I will be addressing all of those spots.

I always enjoy the "no rubbing" ones when they do in fact rub one way or another. Not only are they ridiculously heavy, they are just too big for the drivetrain on these little Mavericks. It's too much stress.

Pretty sure we tried to warn ya too man, but not 100% certain if that was you or not.

Also, there is proven content that says often times in the off roading community, a slimmer tire is better. It's subjective as any argument can be with a general term such as "off roading", but in the case of the Maverick, it's clearly the case. Too big of a tire is pointless. There is no benefit from going from a 245 to anything higher here. These trucks do not have the clearance or the suspension for it. Keep in mind that loss in MPG you are seeing also just isn't the worst case scenario loss in MPG - it's added stress on the diff's and takes a lot more effort to get rolling. Your brakes will also have to work that much harder too. Which is another reason 245/65R17 (or equal size like 245/60R18) are widely regarded as the limit.

2/3rds an inch taller and 2/3rds an inch wider than 245's - which is a tire that is already half an inch taller than stock 235's and 1/3rd an inch wider. That's too much for this truck man. Unibody "lift" or not. RIP your driveline and your wallet at the pump.

The truck looks great, but you would have had no issues with 245's and if you really wanted poke - hub centric spacers. Or just gotten a Tremor to begin with if off roading had anything to do with this consideration.

Ha I do enjoy it also. We know anything larger than 245 rubs.

Super glad your concerned. First I’m was going in knowing that I’m ok making adjustments. Second more than one person is running this size with no rub.
It’s that these tires are aggressive. That’s more likely why they rub a bit. they did not rub at all the first day. Installer checked, nothing drove 160 miles around town and many turns at full lock nothing. Second day started.

Again I’m gonna state I know what I’m about this is not the first 2.0 ecoboost awd I’ve owners or had larger wheels tire installed. Everyone has been tuned for e30 fuel and created much more trq. I heard the same crap with that. I have had zero issues with any of them. Correct edge has 200k on it.

As for being useless that all up to the subjective. For me nope I want a wider tire for sand and soft mud around my farm. Narrow tires simply won’t work as well for me.

Jp4az also runs these and no rub. So maybe you don’t know things for sure.
Some tires will some won’t. I knew using these they may going into it.
Not sure what the problem is. I could go to a less aggressive tire in this size and it would not. It’s the side lugs of these that are touching. So a smooth sidewall would work. But as always people should go into it knowing and accepting the risks and outcomes.

I must say that when you guys asked I said no run I g confirmed by installer and myself after first day. When they started I immediately got on hear to let people know. As springs settle they may indeed run a bit more. Just wanted others aware. I planned to lift if needed anyway. Or simply hit the inner fender with a heat gun and push it out.

My tires are 30.05 tall, 10.03 wide…. No rubbing but it sure does look close. My completely unscientific observations… seems like 1/2 taller would be a whee bit too big. But if a simple reworking of the liner fixes it then yeah… I might go that big next time too! I always am amused at those who seem “concerned” about mpg loss. If mpg was a concern, then we wouldn’t be putting on bigger tires (or lifts, etc). You know that going in, losing mpg is a trade off. Worth it for some, not worth it for others. Which is why it’s a free country 😁

I definitely think you've got the funds and knowledge to correct it. I didn't mean my first reply (or this one) to be 'I told you so' or anything like that, was just surprised at the size you chose.

They definitely look amazing.

I certainly wouldn’t be adding hp and moving to e85. Lol
Not that I try to get bad mpg. I actually like to see how good I can get but I enjoy the tinkering and the added fun of driving fast.
I’m coming from the position that no matter what I do it’s gonna get better mpg than my 23 3.5 ecoboost on e85 making over 500whp.
So if I stay anywhere in the 20’s I’m happy.

Sorry I may have taken it wrong also. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a certain size but I have run this tire in a farm truck and they are very very good tire and this is as small as I could find it.
I wanted stt pros but they don’t make them this small anymore.
These are actually much much better in the winter also. So that was how I came to these. My shooting range at the farm is very low ground with high water table. So width helps with clearance and big lugs. Plus I like the look. I was able to take the heat gun to the drivers side last night and no more rubbing. Time will tell if that stays the case but I’ll keep updated.

Also in the offroading world 265 is entry level narrow. And that's for lighter weight XJs and such.
