Well it handles the car, trailer and some gear right at 4K.
Perfectly capable of handling this load from sea to shining sea according to ford.
But it’s the slightly bigger tires that gonna do in my drive train.
Lol

Actually get yourself just a lil bit of tongue weight and I doubt the front tires will rub any more.

I was actually shocked how little sag it had. That picture has a decent amount of weight on it. Very pleased. Gonna do my first big toe down to Texas in April sometime. Then back.

Yeah the topper on our truck is supposed to weigh 160lbs. When we added it I could not tell any difference at all as far as squat.

Mazda rx8, spare gas, some tools, few other odds and ends. Trailer weighs nothing really. But it definitely has way more weight that it looks.

Waiting for my tuner now. Hoping for a 93 tow tune and e30 performance tune. That should get me started till I have time to drop it off for some more invasive work.

Just though I would leave this as I saw it at the dealer this week. Apparently the bigger tires are so bad on the driveline that they specifically will that’s right will cover it under the extended warranty. Man someone needs to get them in touch with Montana before they lose everything.
Look at the ford plan for extended warranty cover lifts and big tires. Excludes the lift parts themselves but doe indeed cover the power train if you lifted and put big tires and wheels. But then again maybe they don’t have the experience with that that he has. Or the fact these are not tacos and simply doesn’t bother them.
Things that make you go hmmm.

It's not unheard of to have warranty work denied because of this. Also, cover what? Are you saying you are worried about a potential issue now? Things that make you go hmmm indeed... You'd think a smart person would check on this before they do the work, same with "will it rub".

Also, you are pretty much talking to yourself now, but I'll bite. No, warranties do not cover "bigger wheels and tires". You may not VOID the warranty, but it will make it harder for a claim that the contributing factor was not a lift and/or bigger wheels/tires. There is a difference between "they will cover it" and "they can deny it". Most places if they are the ones doing the work, they probably are not worried about it. Warranty work still pays the bills... You should learn that. It might be a lower rate for them, but it's still income. I'm sure they'll be glad to see you in so frequently :ROFLMAO:

I already know you have no clue what you are talking about and are just triggered at this point, as if I needed further evidence... Grow up dude. Good luck to 200k. Start a build log too... You are just posting random stuff in your tire thread in the tires/wheels/brakes section. BTW... I never would have commented on your build log thread lmfao.

Great job on the bed liner though.

I was at the dealer and the paper worked signed specifically list what it does cover. Larger tires are indeed covered under the ford offered extended warranty. That’s all.
Maybe look at the extended plan yourself it’s written in it. But it is covered. I did not buy an extended warranty because I have faith mine won’t fail.
They have all the statistics in favor of them.

So I just wanted to let you know so you could send them an email and let them know the mistake they are making cover it.

Just an update. 85k miles in. Lots of towing all through the mountains.
Second set of 265’s on this truck. Hauled over 8k back from south Texas and been running it tuned for over 75k miles.

I know you are shocked but these “to big of tires” have not cause any issues. Not a single one. I’ve also been taking it to the dunes a lot.
Sorry to disappoint you. If something does come up I will be the first to let you know. But so far so good. I should have about 200k on it by this time next year.
