I considered it,but my tools track to much dirt into vehicle and the 1.5 L engine has a bad rap

And why is that?

I remember the 2 Ford mechanics who criticized my decision to buy a new Bronco II in 1988. Ten years and 230,000 miles later (with few problems - oem brake rotors were junk) I traded it in on a pos 1998 GMC Safari van.
Sorry to hear you had a Safari van...

Never even looked at one. Have had my Maverick for almost 8 months and it's great. I never wanted the hybrid. I wanted the EB and that's what I got XLT FX4 4K AWD and it has been unbeatable in the snow up here I actually used it to help my neighbor get his Bronco out this winter when he got stuck in a snow bank haha. His problem was bad tires.

Mine came with the Faulken Wildpeak AT3W tires. Those tires with the AWD system and I drove out of snow that was piled up past my tires and the plows clearing the streets had blocked my driveway off with snow. I took the top 1 or 2 inches off the plowed snow at the end of drive way and cleat the snow away from driver door just enough to get it. Clicked it into Mud/ruts mode and drove right out with no issues, no rocking back and forth, no having to get a running start, just click and go. Then I used a snowblower to clear out the driveway for my tenants in apartment so they could get their cars out.

Its interesting because my wife likes the Bronco Sport better than the Maverick. Prior to the Maverick we had a 2015 Grand Cherokee and I wanted to get back into a pickup and the utility of the truck bed. We currently have a 2019 Expedition Max so I didn't need another SUV.

I am completely happy with my decision, I can take the trash to the end of the driveway, cardboard to recycling, etc. Put wet items of the kids in the truck bed without it smelling up the SUV.

The really funny thing is if we didn't get the Maverick I was going to get an F-350 Tremor but the wait on it was too long so we opted to buy out the lease on our Expedition.

No, love my loaded Lariat hybrid. It's not perfect and I have that rattle in the dash over bumpy roads like most everyone else... And yeah vented cooled seats, heads up display, larger, adjustable, more fully featured LCD screen... And it staying in eco and not having to reset that every time... Are all things I would have gladly paid more for... but I love (my wife's) Maverick hybrid.. The bronco sport was never a consideration.
I am seriously considering ordering one in 2023 but I may wait till 2024 to see if they offer a Platinum version. Having a bigger battery would be great as well.

My GF had a Bronco sport Badlands. It's nice and to me it's pretty much a maverick with a more standard interior that people are used to. It's priced as such.

I just wish the twin clutch rear was on the maverick Fx4 package

No, I would’ve gone for a Lexus ES350 (used) instead.

still May if it doesn’t get here by august like Ford has said it will…

Funny this would come up. The wife wants to trade the Buick Encore in for a Bronco Sport so we'll have both.

So I debated back and forth. I have body on frame trucks and the Mav was basically to have a car like vehicle with better fuel economy and more suited for dd stuff like groceries, kids etc

Side swing tailgate would make it more functional for me. As is kids can’t grab their stuff from bed without help. Plus the Bronco Sport storage area is more secure.

this thing feels like a car with a bed which I guess is what I signed up for.
Way too small for me. Hell, it was smaller than my Genesis Coupe ;)

My wife loved her 1988 Bronco II and the 15 years of reliable service it provided, so when the new Bronco Sport hit the lots we took a look. She was not impressed, nothing specific, just overall didn't do it for her.

The 1.5 liter 3 cylinder engine in the Bronco Sport was a deal breaker for me. It motivated me to buy the 2.0 EcoBlast Maverick, just in case Ford was tempted to go with the cheaper 1.5 engine in the future. We have not regretted buying the Maverick.

My wife has a Bronco Sport Badlands which she loves. The BL has the same 2.0 EB that the Maverick has and really it was driving her BS BL that made me want to get the Tremor since it basically uses the same advanced AWD.
