i am going to build a light bar once my fx4 gets here. i'll have less than $100 into it. minus the lights. when you can mass produce those. Price falls dramatically. i can get a clone of that made by a local welding shop for less than $200. so yes that price is ridiculous.

I'd love to get one of those things but right now they are too pricey. You can get similar items for an f-150 for under $200. Hopefully prices will drop as the number of mavericks on the road goes up.

$599. Supposed to be shipping in Jan but now they are saying Feb. CarID will heavily OVERCHARGE you for shipping and they are already on the verge of bankruptcy so avoid them. RealTruck is the biggest dealer for steelcraft but unfortunately you cannot order it online from them at the moment. Napa has it and the shipping is free. They also had it for $539 during Black Friday.

I like this set up. You get some protection for the front (not that you're going to be bumping criminals in a high speed pursuit), a place for additional lighting, and it clears the ACC. Nice.

I think everybody can have his own opinion. I do not need to prove that I am right. So, you think it’s to expensive, ok, great! Is there another option that is a good quality for less? No, not right now. Maybe, in the futur, but I doubt it.
SOmething made in China? Maybe, but the shipping is going to be expensive. Something made here, with good steel… and I like to put my money and encourage a small business than encourage a multibillionaire to buy another private jet.

For the steelcraft one you do. Not a fun task putting it back on with the guard installed. Definitely the least enjoyable car project I’ve done and I’ve done a ton over the years. My guess is that the instructions were from 2022 because there were some subtle differences in the 2023. The little thing that beeps when in reverse was in the way. Had to move it. As a side note, if this was disconnected and the truck put into reverse, would this cause a check engine light? I have one now and not sure why that is. I’ll have to check the code tomorrow.
