Well it looks tied in below the bumper and in the tow hooks. It should be decently strong enough. Still anything over a couple hundred pounds would possibly cause body damage from it bending back at the top.
Certainly less than without it. Basically it won't turn a Maverick into a 70s Highboy, but it could provide a bit of a buffer.

This thing is pretty absurd looking, but each to their own- I support people doing their thing to make their truck unique.

This is the first time anyone has finally come up with a possible product! I've been looking since I ordered my Maverick almost two years ago and took delivery last Dec. Apparently its a problem installing with the Tremor package-which sucks as one would think those of us with a Tremor might be first in line to want a brush guard! Maybe there is hope if we can survive getting creamed by a deer for another few months!

It appears that Steelcraft is sold out. For those of you who might be looking for that bumper, it’s possible they may not be making more. It’s not on their 90 day forecast. CarID.com has unreal shipping charges ($400 to GA) and Realtruck has zero shipping charges. But all a moot point unless Steelcraft decides to make more.

the trouble is on something like the Maverick it would cause more harm then good in a collision,a few sheet metal attachment point is not very sturdy the front ends should be made of urethane or some thick resilient substance and for petes sake bring back glass headlights.
