Wheel bearing rust - day 1

So i just picked up my new 2024 LXT Maverick from the dealer yesterday here in Canada. Somehow the vehicle has rust on the wheel bearings, 3 out of the 4. Won't be noticable with the summer tires but fairly obvious with my winter tires on right now. I was wondering what if anything can be done about it? Is the deal obliged to correct it or now that I have it, it's my problem?

I always put Never Seize on the threads and nut and call it a day. Cover the whole area with it as it is silver in color and you will never see a thing. Or, buy center caps and you will never see a thing. I'm old enough to remember when automakers used to put little metal caps over that area. No longer I guess.

Those are the wheel hubs not the bearings, it's just cosmetic rust.
If it really bothers you get after it with a scotchbrite pad or wire brush and scrub it away, then give it a blast with some silver paint.

I’m more amazed that they put wheel locks on that thing. Should’ve bought an XLT so trivial things such as this doesn’t show. Also, take the locks off. Nobody is going to steal the steel wheels that ford seems obsessed with installing on these. Congrats on your truck, btw!

Anyone willing to steal some steelies is probably going to have some universal keys for this crap.

It is an XLT. Those are the winter wheels/tires.

Look underneath the truck. There are dozens of iron/steel parts that are not painted. This is how vehicles have been made for over 100 years. Nothing bad is going to happen.

I did buy an LXT with 18's, and I bought wheel locks for them. These are my winter tires. I guess they saw the wheel locks and assumed i'd want them on.
