Waze speedometer all over the place...

I use Waze and have it so it tells me the speed limite and the digital speedometer in the top right with iphone and carplay.

When my phone is plugged into to either USB or usb-c it will start off calm like trading 65mph, then start going crazy and bounce around anywhere from 58-74 with multiple changes a second. Cruise control on or off doesn't matter. My previous car with a dirt cheap $100 carplay head unit for my Subaru had no problems and my gfsazda CX-5 also has no problems so it's something with the truck but can't figure out what. I tried different cables and reset the connection between phone and truck to no avail. Not sure if I should let the dealer no or not, but in kind of assume they'll have no idea and at best offer to replace the head unit. Iva had to hard reset multiple times already before Odo hit 500 miles. Sync3 is trash

Same issue in waze for me. I just go by the interment cluster speed.

My Google maps doesn't have the option to show actual speed, only the speed limit. But I do have a speed meter app standalone come to think of it I'll try.

Strange. Mine has it in my Pixel, but I rarely use it. I prefer the instrument cluster's analog speedometer, so I don't have to look over at the Infotainment screen.

Yep, I have the same issue in my 2022 XLT hybrid when I use my Waze app. The speed is just all over the place no matter how fast I set my cruise control.

259Maverick, it's not an isolated problem and has been documented by other Waze users, not just Maverick or Sync 3 users.

I notice the speed being off a while back and it irritated me enough I turned off the speedo option in Waze so I wouldn't see it.

I like Waze for some of it's unique options, especially the users being able to add traffic info, but end up using google Maps for my "go to" navigation app.

I’ve been waiting on this. I’ve got a 22 eco boost. I’ve noticed from day one. This doesn’t happen in my GM vehicles

I use Waze all the time and have not noticed this issue. First with corded and then I bought the wireless CarPlay adapter with no difference.
