Good Evening,

I am looking to swap the base XL/XLT Gauge Cluster for the Lariat Model. I know from This thread:
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ter-from-ford-escape-swap-into-maverick.9506/

That it seems to be pretty plug and play for gauge clusters without too much prying/custom code work. However, getting my hands on the Lariat Hybrid Digital Gauge Cluster seems to be a bit of a guessing game, as the Ford Parts website is pretty sparse on the photo

Ford Maverick Swap XLT/XL Guage Cluster for Lariat Digital Cluster 1694399345655

I’m assuming the “High Series” is referring to the Lariat, but with it listing as “Analog” rather than digital makes me feel like this is the wrong part. I haven’t found much information on people making this kind of swap, and wanted to see if anyone has.
Otherwise, maybe I’ll wait a few years and find one in a junkyard somewhere! :)

Thanks for any/all replies.

Do yourself a favor and just buy a Lariat Hybrid cluster off of ebay or car-part.com, any year Maverick Lariat Hybrid cluster will work. You will pay a fraction of the cost for a new one and I'm sure you can find one with low enough miles to make it work with you Mav since you can go from lower to higher mileage but not higher to lower. Even with a new cluster you will need to use Forscan to set the mileage since it will show 000000 miles when you plug it in. I found a cluster out of an FX4 equipped Maverick for my XL and it worked great and I only paid about $100.

Also, yes, high series is the lariat cluster. Just take the part number from another ford parts site and plug it into google and you will get a photo of the correct cluster most likely. The Ford site obscures part of the number.

I’ve been scouring EBay for a while, but this is great advice, especially the bit about the millage. I used to have a Dodge Dart that was the same way with swapping gauge clusters..

but I’m glad to hear you’ve had success with the FX4 cluster. Did you run into any Check Engine Light issues, or was it simply just ForScan to set it correctly?

Just forscan to set the correct mileage and turn on hill descent control. Car-part.com is the best resource, I would be surprised if you didn't find one there. Also check out LKQ used car parts but they tend to be kind of pricey for most things.

Yeah still works great. This cluster is so much nicer to look at than the standard 4" screen. Hill descent control still works perfect. Don't forget that you'll need the new switch cluster for the console and the 12g wire if you want to get hill descent control to work

Thanks! I don't think I'm too concerned with hill descent ,but I gave up my FX4 order for a xl off the lot this week and I miss the screen. 😆

Just curious, is there any reason we cant use an Explorer cluster? Looks the same, and they go for about 1/3 the price on ebay.

@Vtec87pr1 has one installed in theirs albeit the fully digital version. Although they don't go into details:
Hmm I might try and stick with an Escape or Maverick Lariat 6.5" screen then. Although I'm sure most of his trouble was that he was trying to install the full digital one.

i suggest you got to cut and trim a lot the interior to get it fit to the maverick area. i really regret doing it im thinking of buying a new escape one im waiting on for them to have it on stock because theres a recall on them right now. so they are on back order

Ok I'm definitely not into cutting up and trimming the interior. I prefer just a straight up swap.

I took NoVaJimmy's advice and bought an FX4 instrument cluster from car-part(dot)com. I also bought the console switch from the same truck so I could enable hill descent control.

The donor truck had cross traffic and bliss so when I installed the instrument cluster in my truck I received cross traffic and bliss failure alerts.

All I had to do was go into FORScan and disable cross traffic and bliss (in IPC), enable hill descent control (in IPC and ABS), and adjust the mileage upward to match my actual mileage. All was pretty straightforward.

I think the toughest part was bending the metal clips from instrument cluster shroud back into usable condition to re-install the shroud. :)

I can never find anything on that website. Every search I do comes back with nothing.

I had the same issue and eventually using "Speeedometer" in the part dropdown was the answer. Try using these search settings.
