2024 Maverick lariat Tremor key fob

I have a 23 Tremor, and the FOB only has buttons for lock, unlock and panic. No start button. I read in an earlier post in this forum there is a hack for remote start, but I don't recall where it is.

But is your Tremor also a Lariat? If not, there's no hardware integrated into the vehicle to receive a signal from the key fob.

I watched a YouTube video where a guy said if you have or add the Ford Perimeter Plus Security System it also adds the ability to remote start from a standard key fob using something like "Lock > Unlock > Lock" or maybe it was "Unlock > Lock > Unlock > Lock"...

For 2023 you had to separately add the Remote Start System, it wasn't automatically included in the Lux package. For 2024, the Lariat includes all those options as standard, and it isn't even possible to order a Lariat w/o Lux/CP360/Assist/ SIBL/Remote Start. (Though they did drop the keypad and wiper heater).

I specifically added it back onto my 22->23 rollover, and actually used it last week a couple times when it was in the teens, to warm up the interior and make scraping ice easier. (Didn't realize how convenient it would be, no need to remove gloves to unlock phone, load app, press the start in the app, and wait for the signal to arrive....remote is instant).

Lariat Tremor, Lariat Tremor. It's standard as part of the standard luxury package on the '24 Lariat Tremor.

On the ‘24 XLT lux, the remote has the start button. Though the range is not near what the lock feature is.

Since it's a Lariat, your remotes should look like the attached photo. The start button has the red arrow pointing to it.

To use it, hit the LOCK button once, then the START button twice.

You must be relatively nearby for the remote's signal to reach the vehicle.

Unfortunately this is why we are going to sell or trade our 24 XLT and upgrade to the lariat tremor. I wish I was on this forum when we placed the original order but live and learn.

one expensive thing we got that I think was not a wise investment was bed lighting. To each their own but I don’t see the value for what we got. The dealer even forgot to install it so we are having to take the truck in but it basically amounts to 2 small lights towards the rear bed…at least as best I can tell.

I have a 24 XLT Tremor and it came with remote starting. Since the guy who ordered the truck couldn't raise the financing, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase. Hence don't know if this was standard or an option.

Very handy on a cold frosty morning.

I shouldn’t of chimed in as it’s about a 24 , I have a 23 and it was an additional option , not included in lux , but that seems to of changed for 24 idk
