sometimes we do see horrible stories here on MTC, but I can't recall a situation like yours.I wasnt aware of the powertrain. May have passed my mind. The other closest ford is over an hour drive......and its the same owners haha. and get this MY WIFE WORKS AT THE ONE I HAVE BEEN GOING TO. the whole having to bite my tongue and not cause a scene because i dont want to embarass her has my blood boiling. Having her in the middle of this down right pisses me off. Any they are all to scared to tell me they fucked up and have her do so every time.
I would like to think there's some other explanation for their behavior but my belief at this time is that they knew exactly what they were doing when they quoted you some extended warranty for $200/month that you don't even need to get this repair done. If they will do that to their own employee, what are they doing to other customers?
Here's what I would do. I would get the truck repaired. Meet with the service manager and GM. Get Ford involved if they won't agree to a specific scheduled time to talk to you.
After it's repaired, sell it. Check Vroom, Carmax, Carvana and maybe even list it on FB Marketplace (it's annoying as hell trying to sell a vehicle there). Buy something else that isn't from that cesspool of a dealership. DO NOT threaten them with selling/trading the vehicle. Make them repair it, then quietly go your own way.
