Outgoing/Incoming calls on Carplay

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue. CarPlay works great except for incoming calls. All the advice I can find is for when it's not working at all.
Ignoring the CarPlay for just a minute... You should be using Bluetooth to connect your phone to your truck for calls. Get that working BEFORE you even plug in to CarPlay. If you do it that way, it should work just fine. (And yes, you'll have two connections between your vehicle and your iPhone - one BT for calling, and "cable" (wired) for CarPlay functions.

PS - My Sync system has been updated to Sync 3.4.22251, which might make a difference. Hope that helps.

Has anyone else had an issue with incoming calls not working on CarPlay? The call comes through, I answer, but I can’t hear the caller and they can’t hear me. Outgoing calls are unaffected.
I am having the same issue with my 2023. Seems when I plug in the usb it drops the Bluetooth connection. Most incoming calls don’t get transferred to the truck speakers/mic. I have to pick up the phone. The call does come through it’s just most times only through the phone and not through hands free.

Yes - but once you make an outgoing call, incoming calls work.

Has anyone figured out a fix for this issue. I have to disconnect and reconnect to CarPlay in order to answer calls.

My connection problem has been solved. Switched over from Verizon to AT&T and now have no issues answering calls while plugged into car play. Not sure why but Verizon was definitely causing the issue for me

Interesting. I have xfinity which uses Verizon towers. I had AT&T for a while, but it was too expensive.

Yeah it’s weird that it works now. Was a pain unplugging every time

no help here other than to say that Ford no longer monitors this message board. There was a post about 6 months ago saying they would be going inactive.
