Has anyone else had an issue with incoming calls not working on CarPlay? The call comes through, I answer, but I can’t hear the caller and they can’t hear me. Outgoing calls are unaffected.

It’s cause you don’t have your phone hooked up to Bluetooth. Hook it up through Bluetooth then go into CarPlay and try again.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue. CarPlay works great except for incoming calls. All the advice I can find is for when it's not working at all.

All works fine in mine (sync 3 if that makes a difference). Maybe try radio reset and s/w update?

Have this as well. When the call comes in, put it on the iPhone speaker, then back to normal and it will work. Hooking to BT may work as well but I haven't tried that with my phone as it's my son's truck.

Hey! I can take a closer look into your Carplay issues. Can you please send us a direct message with your VIN and the dealership name/location?

Mine does it. Even with Bluetooth connected and hardwired with the USB. What I have done to remedy it is hanging up and calling again. I was hoping that a WiFi patch would help, but it is still hit or miss. I have also noticed that if you are connected via Bluetooth, start playing music and then connect it with the USB, CarPlay displays and functions, but music only comes from your phone and not the speakers.

Hi there, Jeremiah! If you'd like to, go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and dealer info and I’ll look into this phone call concern for you. Thanks!

I have the same issue as well through Carplay. I've tried resetting several times, and it still occurs.
Switching to the speaker, and then back works eventually.

My 2022 XLT does it too. I tried connecting the phone to bluetooth but no luck so far. I’ve gotten into the habit of answering from my phone and pressing the speaker button twice before answering any calls, but it is pretty frustrating.

Yes my phone and Maverick have the same issue. It appears that the radio gets confused between Bluetooth and a direct usb connection (CarPlay). If I keep it on one connection then it mostly works. Also if you are answering a call you must answer it using the Maverick screen or steering wheel buttons. If you answer it on the phone directly (swiping) the. It defaults the audio back to the iPhone versus the stereo/CarPlay/Bluetooth connection. As another poster mentioned you then need to go back into your phones speaker output and adjust it to the Maverick (Bluetooth or CarPlay). My Volvo didn’t have CarPlay but it’s Bluetooth/stereo connection was way better than the Maverick and it was from 2013. The stereo is the worst feature of the Maverick for me, hands down. My vehicle frequently drops the Bluetooth connection in the middle of music and basically has to be manually reset to connect. There are other times where the audio just gets utterly confused and disappears altogether, music playing from the phone (visually) but no audio is coming out from either Bluetooth or CarPlay. No matter how many times I reconnect or plug back in.

Hi Julian! I can look into your Maverick's CarPlay concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?

Mine makes phone calls just fine through Bluetooth, but the voice command button does absolutely nothing. It give the ding and listens, but does nothing, just goes back to radio in a few seconds. Haven't found a single voice command that it will do anything with. I have to use the screen to make phone calls. Very disappointed in the software compared to my Bronco Sport.
