I’m using a cleaning solution, I think the hybrid doesn’t have an exposed alternator not sure m. And have to wash off the solution afterwards. Not sure what part of the engine i need to cover regarding anything related to alternators.Shop vac with some sort of brush attachment would be my first thought

But it does have a generator in the motor which recharges the battery and provide power throughout the truck. There are also high voltage lines and other electrical stuff that you should be very careful about. I’d avoid treating it like you’d do a normal gas engine. The Hybrid does not have an Alternator.

Thx, are you a Carolina fanOnly Raiders fans have dirty engines!![]()
The motor generator is inside the transmission and not visible. That being said, all of the high voltage stuff under the hood you mentioned (orange cables), are reason enough to avoid washing down the engine compartment with any kind of liquid. But it does have a generator in the motor which recharges the battery and provide power throughout the truck. There are also high voltage lines and other electrical stuff...
To be fair, Priuses are a much better built and Toyota takes more pride in the durability of their vehicles than any other car maker today. So the engine bay of a Prius is probably better protected. Our Marvericks are low cost made in Mexico. I don’t think the same level of care was put in, just saying.I had a 2015 Prius. I did the "spot free rinse" at your local coin operated car wash for 8 years. Did it every 3 months. No problems, ever.
Already did my first time with the Maverick last week. The trick is the low pressure and soft water that the "spot free rinse" provides does the job.
I'd hate to see the Prius reliability if Toyota didn't care so much....To be fair, Priuses are a much better built and Toyota takes more pride in the durability of their vehicles than any other car maker today. Nice I grew up in the city, season holder for 8 years! Took my kids to two superbowls. Grew up a niners fan went to all the superbowl wins parade. I was at the Dallas niners game in candlestick when the catch happened with Dwight Clark. Moved to east bay wire the colors of the Raiders my child hood team when they battled the Steelers.Niners, baby!
