Hey, everyone. Haven't been on the forums here in quite some time. I had a first gen Maverick Lariat preordered in '21, but I gave up after my dealer ghosted me and wouldn't respond to my requests for option changes to hopefully lighten the commodity constraints and get mine built sooner. I ended up going in the complete opposite direction and leased a Camaro. 7 months into my lease (May '22) my Ford dealer randomly texted me with a photo of what were supposed to be my keys, saying "Better late than never!". Sadly I couldn't take it, and I was still sour over getting ghosted (it was a dealer halfway across the state, not like I could just go there any time).
Anyway, my lease is up in 9 months and while the Camaro has been a blast to drive, I don't plan to renew or purchase. Every single time I see a Maverick on the road I get a little bummed that I wasn't more patient. I see them everywhere now and as I mentioned, I haven't been on the forums in a while, so I have a few questions:
- How's build time and availability these days? Are they typically available on the lot?
- Has pricing increased dramatically like literally every other consumer good? Is Ford still r*ping customers on upcharges, fees, etc?
- Has performance noticeably improved? I'll be honest, it's gonna be difficult for me to downgrade from my current 335HP.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Mavericks, thanks for any feedback you have. Cheers!
