Hey, gang. Haven't been on here in a while. Way back when I preordered a first gen Lariat Hybrid from my cousin's best friend's dealership in St. Augustine, FL. With all the supply chain/commodity constraints nonsense, my build took forever and the dealer ghosted me as well when I was trying to get the build modified in the hopes of getting it built faster. 6 months after my 2021 heart attack, I guess you could say I was in a bit of a mid-life crisis and got impatient, and I opted instead for a neon yellow Camaro. It was a blast to drive aside from every SoFla ahole trying to race me at every red light. It also had literally zero storage space and I struggled to find a place to set my phone down. Needless to say I'm back in the market for a compact or mid-sized truck now that my 39 month lease has ended. I'm attracted to the Chevy Colorado though I still have a fondness for the Maverick. Has the truck evolved much in the last few years? From what I've briefly gathered, there's still not much in the way of horsepower. My Camaro was somewhat on the lower end but still rocked 335 horsepower, and my lead foot doesn't want to go backwards in power on the next vehicle. Just looking for some generalized guidance and wondering what the consensus is on how the Maverick is performing and holding up after its first few years on the market. Cheers!

They cost more now so the crazy value proposition is no longer crazy, but Mavericks are still cheaper than the frame-based midsize trucks like the Ranger or the larger unibody Ridgeline (all of which have also gone up in price). The more you option it up, the less the value proposition works, but if you compare a Maverick Tremor to a Ranger or F-150 Tremor, it's still a lot cheaper.

Used trucks are still high, at least where I am, so it makes more sense to me to get a new Maverick than a used Frontier, and used Rangers or Tacos are only even more.

Well sir I hope your health has improved first of all.
Second, the wait and agony of waiting on an order may have improved somewhat from what I'm seeing. I have one on order that shows in Production, for 5 days, that was ordered 90 days ago that was pushed back 20 days then started 5 days early.
I finally drove one, a hybrid a couple of weeks ago.(since that's what I ordered) It was a '22 XLT and I was suprised they let me drive it with the camera recall going on. Anyway it had like 54k miles, shimmy in the driver side floor and a crack in the windshield from passenger side toward the middle of the windshield. Aside from those couple of things it drove well. Plenty of room for me at 6' 200lbs. same for the salesman in the passenger seat. My wife however at 5'1" complained about the room she had sitting behind me.
I got another Camaro I'll put on you if interested.

The Hybrid is now standard equipment again, and you can optionally get the Hybrid with AWD now, for additional cost. You can also get the turbo/ecoboost AWD for more additional cost. Base costs have also risen a lot.

You'll find a new (IMO) cluttered-looking front end with eye patches over the redesigned headlights. It just doesn't visually flow well. On the inside, there's a bigger distraction screen and you'll find many of the physical controls for HVAC, etc. have been ripped out and moved to the screen, which requires looking at to adjust; vs the knobs & physical buttons you could change by feel.
