...bulbs to LED. The two outer screws in the housing came out fine. The 2 inner screws seem to be stripped, will not back out at all. Anyone had this issue?

Searched and didn't see it. Looks like I'm taking it to the dealer.See this thread...
Replacing third brake light and got a stuck crew. Any tips on how to remove it?
Sorry, I screwed up link. Basically I think it was determined that the 4 screws go into plastic clips and screws broke retaining ear off. If I remember correctly someone managed to hold the clip from turning somehow and could back screw out.Searched and didn't see it. Looks like I'm taking it to the dealer.
The plastic insert clips had too much torque applied at the factory by the screws, and they stripped which you found. They will have to be replaced. Let the dealer do it under warranty. You could also try to get a small screwdriver head under the side lip of the screw possibly to lift it up and out while simo turning out.Searched and didn't see it. Looks like I'm taking it to the dealer.

i have the same problem today, taking it to the dealer and it better be under warrenty...bulbs to LED. The two outer screws in the housing came out fine. The 2 inner screws seem to be stripped, will not back out at all. Anyone had this issue?
I agree, let dealer do it and get it done right. Thats what the warranty is for! That said I have used your method with the screwdriver hundreds of times over the decades and it does work most of the time. Use a small screwdriver and just easy tension while backing it out should do it! Old mechanic trick you and I remembered! The plastic insert clips had too much torque applied at the factory by the screws, and they stripped which you found. They will have to be replaced. Use a small drill bit, drill the screw to bits, use a wall anchor to fill the hole. The problem is that the screws just spin, they don't come out.
