I'm using the Ford A plan, so I should be at or below dealer invoice pricing.
If you are A-plan, then that is the sale price. The dealer is not allowed to sell over or under that amount.

I picked up my truck just 3 weeks ago. Mine is a ‘24 XLT optioned the same as yours in Azure Gray. I ordered the 64V wheel option (machined-face carboniced gray) with A/T tires because I was not a fan of the black wheels that were std. I had the option to buy two different Mavericks that the buyers had bailed on over the past several months on but I decided to pass them up because they didn’t have the 64V wheel option I really wanted.

When my truck was finally delivered (after 454 days from initial order), I was very pleased that I held out and got it with the 64V wheels option. In my opinion these wheels are really good looking and are complementary to the Azure Gray Metallic color. The Falken Wildpeak A/T tires included with this option were wider than I expected and give the truck a more athletic stance than the standard tires that I have seen on other Mavs. I don’t regret paying the $795 for this upgrade.

This is the wheels on a carbonized gray Mav.

Yur Truck looks GREAT! That is how I ordered my Lariat with the FX4 package. I paid the extra for the tires (Made sense when I did the cost after the fact). I thought "Carbonized Gray and The wheels painted the same was a good look" THank you for your Picture. Now I know what mine is going to look like.

Yeah, I didn't realize the tires were upgraded as well.

Yeah, Thanks, I didn't realized the tires are upgraded as well.
Hmmm! It's raining and I don't want to walk to my garage. I got Falcons on my Tremor. I am assuming they same as you will be getting. I did not double check but the tread depth appeared to be full after market depth and not a reduced depth like most OEM tires. They are pretty quiet running so maybe they have a softer quieter tread compound which OEM tires sometimes are made with? Maybe someone here knows what the distinguishing marking is for Falcon oem versions?

Thanks, for the pictures, you are correct those wheels look really good with Azure gray and the tires compliment the look as well. I will likely keep them, It's not very often where mistakes work in my favor. I'll still give the salesperson a hard time though 😉

My Lariat will look just like your XLT -Azure Gray with FX4, 4K tow, plus that wheel/tire combo. Very classy combo - can’t wait!!

I wish I would've spec'd those tires and rims on my build. I didn't even realize it was an option. Those Falken Wildpeak A/T seem t be pretty well respected tires, too.

As is, I spent $1200 on new A/T tires when my truck arrived. I could've saved over $400 going that route.

Oh well. Hindsight.

Not my truck. Just pulled it off the internet for example but yes I love the look.

This is why we have this forum. No one wants to get ripped off by a dealer. But asking owners of Mavericks there thoughts of a problem, may give you a better outlook at the question. After reading all the replies to your question I for one would take the wheels, and feel good about getting them. Nicer wheels, better tires, would make me a happy camper!

Agreed 1000%, I'm appreciative of everyone who replied, commented and pointed out the pros of the situation. I will likely keep them, as now with more information makes it an easier pill to swallow.

Ordered truck from salesperson at dealership on 9/18/23; notified truck built on 12/13/23. I promptly looked up the window sticker and noticed the option for 17” Machined-face Carbonized Gray painted Aluminum Wheels for $795. I double checked if it was on the original order and it was not. I'm not opposed to the look of the wheel, but I do not want to pay for it. I'm wondering what recourse do I have with the dealership. Should I insist that they eat the costs of the wheel. Or barter for service or other options. I'm not sure what can be done this late in the purchasing process. I really don't want to walk away from the deal when it finally comes in, but I will if not handled satisfactorily.
It offends me for you that your dealer did that to you, but take the tires. I put Wildpeaks on my FX4 wheels the first week I had my Mav and it was the better part of a grand. Granted I would have had to buy different wheels if I got the machined faced wheels as I do not like them on HPR, but I think they look pretty good on grey, so I think you got lucky, besides getting screwed by incompetence at the stealership.

Keep in mind that the dealer doesn't have to sell you the vehicle and given the fact that it's still in pretty high demand you're kind of at the mercy of the dealer. It's a great option and I would have sprung for it if available on the XL. Maybe you can ask them to give the option to you for invoice pricing but I wouldn't hold my breath, they could still probably make a couple of grand over MSRP by selling to someone else if you walk.
FWIW, The Mav is the 9th hottest selling vehicle right now, with 7 days of inventory on average.

Just picked mine up, I must say I do like the wheel and tire upgrade. I would like to thank everyone for their input and suggestions. Now trying to decide on a hard tonneau cover.

So what did the salesman say when you tried to fight it? I'm guessing they said take it or leave it.

I opted for those wheels on mine, and I really like them. Even my dealer said its the best-looking Maverick he'd seen when it rolled off the truck.
