Looks pretty nice. I'd love to see if someone has painted the plastic trim on the bed rails to match prior to installing a cap. I think it would help blend the look a bit vs. the notable black division between body and cap.

I ordered this on November 24th from Suburban Caps in Suffern, NY. The lead time was 4 to 6 weeks and I received the call it was ready on December 19th. I had it installed on December 23rd and it only took about 50 minutes. Fitment is great and Suburban Caps was great to work with. With the options and paint match it came out to just under 2800.00 with tax.

This is my first time owning a truck with a cap. I ordered this with the sliding windows and a grey head liner. No other options. If I did it again I would try to get one with a keyless lock for the rear window. I am hoping there's a retrofit kit available. I would also add roof rails to get some tie down points on the ceiling. I really want to put a net on the ceiling for storage.

Cool!
Gee whiz, you guys really showing stuff thats keeps me wishing for more. And spending more !

I had a RV, and was learning what others doing, what modifications they doing to theirs, and inspired me to follow. Finally, one day I said “Enough!”. Let’s go camping.

But keep the good ideas, modifications coming!

I love the shell - it looks great.

You might want to have them re-position the shell closer to the cab. Most installers are used to installing shells on pickup trucks with the bed separate from the cab. The Maverick, however, is unibody and doesn't flex. Consequently, the shell is designed to be close to the cab.

Pictures of my A.R.E. MX-series repositioned closer to the cab below

I bolted mine to the bed since the MX-series is fairly tall, and I want to use the racks to carry stuff with confidence.

Do you have any photos of the fitment on the back? I’m going back to the installer tomorrow and would like some more photos for reference. Thanks

I will try to grab some early tomorrow morning. The sun already set by the time I saw your message.

Before they snugged up against the cab, the rear door didn't seem to fit the tailgate well -- it was too far away. Now it fits as it should.

I will try to grab some pics early and post them here for you and your installer.

Happy New Year!

Looks like a superb fit, very streamline! I like the profile so much better than the one from Ford that has the bump up although that one probably does provide more interior room. The top looks like its just clamped on, is that right? Any problems with leaking?
I had similar concerns about the clamps. They look like they protrude quite a bit into the bed space and might get in the way. The good thing is they're not permanent which means if you're not happy with the cap, removal is easy. However, I would bolt it down if for a more permanent install.

Very nice! Makes your Maverick look like a whole different vehicle.

I got my BAK BAKFlip MX4 tonneau cover and WeatherTech Floorliner HP floor mats from that same dealer: Suburban Caps in Suffern, NY... they are an absolute pleasure to deal with; highly recommended.

I apologize for the delay. Please find pictures of the rear ends of the cap. I can send you more if you want to send me a direct message.

@Dad Here is a shot of the inner rail to see the difference between bolts and clamps.

Thanks! The installer didn’t feel comfortable moving the cap up further. He wanted there to be space in case of vibration.

I did have some leaking near the front corners so he added two extra clamps. He said it wasn’t clamping down all the way. I’m hoping the leaking is either gone or very minimal.

Your installer doesn't realize they are looking at a unibody truck. The bed doesn't vibrate independently of the cab.

If the shell is properly attached to the bed, it isn't going to move enough to hit anything.

Looking at my pictures, the shell is about 1/4-3/8 inch away from the cab. If it is vibrating that much, the clamps are not tight enough. :)

It still looks fantastic, and I hope you like having the shell as much as I am glad I went with the mid-rise version. Although the V-series looks MUCH BETTER than the MX-series, I have already been in several situations where I needed the added height to carry things. As a result of my experiences, I am looking at solutions that allow me to place small diameter bars to protect the sliding side windows from the load shifting.

Happy New Year, and thank you for sharing pictures of your Maverick with the new V-series A.R.E. shell. It looks great.

Suffern is where I got my goodies but there's also a shop in Old Bridge, NJ.

Thank you. Is the last photo a Maverick? If so, then I'm thinking you swapped out the clamps for the bolts. Nonetheless, the cab looks like a good fit for the Maverick. Many thanks for taking the time to post your experience and answer questions.
