Silly question here. We currently have blue ox tow bar setup. If we buy the Demco baseplates will we need a different towbar?

will do. Going to call them on Tuesday. Really appreciate you taking the time so others don’t have to learn the hard way. Sucks you went through that.I believe....the Demco comes standard with the Blue Ox style connections. Double check that with a call to them, or someone with a Demco here may chime in.
I have a Roadmaster Falcon2 towbar, and I bought a $49.95 set of Roadmaster adaptors (RM-034) to mate it to my DEMCO Baseplate. DEMCO sells a similar adaptor, but it is 2 times the price. Search eTrailer and Amazon for a Blue Ox to Demco adaptor.will do. Going to call them on Tuesday. Really appreciate you taking the time so others don’t have to learn the hard way. Sucks you went through that.
We might just go with a whole new system. That integrated brake from Demco sounds very intriguing. Been using the RVi brake. Cumbersome and not sure it really does much.
Does the Demco definitely install without removing shutters since I read other places saying the two bottom shutters must be removed?I continue to say that the DEMCO Baseplate is the only way to safely tow. Solid bar, in front of the shutter system, with no permanent damage to the Active shutter system like Roadmaster.

I answered you in the other post you made...with a few pictures.Does the Demco definitely install without removing shutters since I read other places saying the two bottom shutters must be removed?
Also, do you have to cut anything since on the installation instructions it shows cutting as shown in the attached picture?

where was this? In this thread? My apologies.I answered you in the other post you made...with a few pictures.
Start around here. Edit: a few posts up from where this link takes you.where was this? In this thread? My apologies.
I know I'll never use a Blue Ox product. That was a terrible design, as it is clearly WAY TOO WIDE for a 2-piece baseplate, instead of a solid crossbar like Demco or Roadmaster.I had the blue ox front packets mounted to my maverick. I didn't even get nine miles before The front of my truck ended up running into the back of my motor home. Both the brackets we're pushed outward, just as described in previous post.
I would happily be part of a civil action suit against blue Ox. They should not be allowed to knowingly keep selling this inferior product. Them and e trailer.
