Just because it's a super cheap item that broke doesn't mean it still doesn't bug me. So far in a year and a half of ownership I've had the following Maverick parts failures:

Leaking automatic transmission start/stop accumulator
Both front half shafts with leaking CV boots
Unfixable rattles in the dash
Garbage OEM "enhanced flooded battery" that I replaced on my own with an AGM unit
Exhaust hanger broken

As I was leaving the supermarket yesterday a woman driving a Lexus pulled up next to me blocking the entrance to the parking lot. I thought she was just another impatient DC area driver so I yelled at her asking what the hell she was doing. Imagine my embarrassment when she told me "your muffler fell off". I profusely apologized and pulled over and sure enough my exhaust was hanging down almost scraping the pavement. The rear most exhaust hanger had snapped.

Honestly, I love the idea of the Maverick, just getting tired of these little things going wrong because Ford definitely went to the extreme with cost cutting. It just makes me wonder what will break next. I've been driving for just about 30 years now and well over a million miles in that time, I've never had an exhaust hanger break on me. Never.

I have had several break. But they were all on a brand new VW Rabbit I bought many moons ago. I woulda thought that part would have been perfected by now, 23 years into the 21st century. But apparently bad design and/or material lives on.

I cringed when I noticed my Maverick had those GD things holding the muffler.

I've owned 12 vehicles in 27 years of driving and I've never had one break, I've had a couple stretch/sag but never break. COVID era will prove to be the most unreliable years for vehicles in my opinion since manufacturers had to cut costs everywhere they could and scrounge to come up with suppliers that could meet cost/time demands.

The longer I wait for the Maverick and see issues like this, maybe I should consider a Colorado instead...

Riding my bicycle over the years through the mean streets of Detroit I have occasionally found these hangers on the road and wondered how the hell they fell off the vehicle since they are inevitably unbroken.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I have a problem with the lane centering on my 23 Lariat 2.0. The systems keps alerting me to keep my hands on the wheel when they are and I have to jerk the steering wheel to make them stop. It happens about every 15 to 20 seconds while driving on the interstate. My Hyundai never did that and would not even remind me after about 2 minutes if I did not have my hands on the wheel.

Is there a way in software to adjust that?
