What is the slot for?

Every Forum has their "RTFM" or "It's been asked before" grinches. Why they care I have no idea. It's not like they are paying for the site's bandwidth. Ignore them, they add nothing to the conversation. You asked a question that I've been wondering about myself, thanks.

I asked our salesman what the slot was for as we were picking up our Mav after purchasing. He said the slot is to put in the $20 bills. I asked if they come out too, and he said NO.

Yes, this slot is only on hybrids and not present on EBs. Makes me think it could be a place to keep the numerous hybrid recall notices or for a personal tally sheet on how many times the owner has seen the "sleep mode"!!!!! Ain't it fun????

Good morning y’all…can anyone tell me what the slot is for that is to the rear of the 3 buttons in the center console to the back of the area that the shift knob is in? I looked in the book, and found no answer

It’s obviously a credit card slot and I leave a valid credit card in there 24/365 so in case my vehicle is stolen the thief, will be able to fill it up and get away. I hope that helps.

And inevitably, someone pops up and says, “someone asked this question before, back in 2021 about the first maverick, do a search before posting”

I have searched for many things. The trick is to search thread titles only, whenever I do that I'd say over 95% of the time I find exactly what I'm looking for. There is a box on the search drop down that you can check to search only thread titles.

It's a credit card slot, totally worthless and it can't be made bigger I tried it's still a worthless thingy.
