Sorry for the triple posting above I don’t know why that happened but here’s the page from the orders manual for every year 22,23 and 24 and I cannot get the sequence to work has it worked for anybody. What am I missing?

I know this doesn't help, but I have a '22 XL Ecoboost. I never could get it to work on mine. I tried all the tips and tricks people suggested.

If you are decent with a computer, use forscan. The first thing I did was get rid of seatbelt warnings and door/key chimes.

Thank you. I haven't taken delivery of my Maverick yet, but if it's like some of my previous vehicles, this will be good info. My dog is big enough he can set off the seat belt alarm, which can be very irritating. That and roll down the windows and lock/unlock the doors, but one problem at a time.

There’s a couple threads about it. Manual instructions didn’t work for me, but one guys post helped me get both front seats chimes turned off

Ok, reading between the lines = this is like dancing for 30 seconds. Break out the metronome set it to a pace or better yet if your kid plays drums have him set a best with louder beat one second before he hits the cymbal which upon hearing it you do the next step = turn on turn off plug in plug out. Or if you have two or more kids they can add some finesse to the dance, setup a drive through in a parking lot when pet rehab are having a re-home.

That's odd. The version in the manual worked 1st time on my 22

Worked for me for the driver's seat. If at first you fail, keep trying. It took me 4 or 5 tries of the sequence to finally get the driver's seat chime disabled.

To do other seats, I think you need two people - one in the driver's seat and one in the seat you want to disable it for. I have only disabled the driver's seat because that's the only one I care about. Now, I can drive UP my long gravel private road to the mailbox without being nagged to buckle the goddamn belt.

I always wear my seatbelt when driving on public roads.

Or, you can just buckle the empty positions, or you can put $1 plastic inserts into unused positions, or, you can put $5 seatbelt extensions (like for XL Americans) in every position then people just click into the extensions when they get in. The extensions are like 3 - 4 inch, nothing huge.

This will turn off all sounds AND messages on the screen.

I have a 2023 hybrid. Neither of the sequences mentioned here tried repeatedly worked. I don’t really care about the chime, but this warning shows up regardless of whether the seatbelts are attached or not. I get in my car. I attach the seatbelts and the sign still stays there for quite some time before it goes off. That’s the annoying part.
I don’t even mind the reminder, but as soon as the seatbelts are attached, all warnings and notices about seatbelts should be off. It certainly knows when the seatbelts are attached and when somebody is in the seats.
